The Tour Guide was boring, the walk was tiring without much fun. Would have been able to see much more by walking on my own.
Did not appeal to me at all, also most other people in the group seemed bored. Maybe people who are interested in history might find it slightly interesting.

We did the Vatican and the Colosseum tours : what a big delusion. Anyplace but st peter's and only 5 minutes from a far distance terrace at he colosseum ! . Once we arrived at those spots, after two hours of walking under a very hot sun , once finally there…guide waved goodbye. Long walking for nothing.
please at least change the names of your tours
any place but Vatican and colosseum

I went on the city centre tour first and we had Simone (sp?) and he was fantastic, he is training to be a teacher and these tours are a way of testing his knowledge and what he can remember. I really enjoyed it so I decided to go on the colosseum tour as well, the guy doing that wasn't as talkative, but he knew some spots to see fantastic views of the forum and told us to get our tickets from the forum instead of the colosseum to avoid queueing (an invaluable tip!). The tours all start at the Spanish Steps and both tour guides told us different things about the place that the other tour guide hadn't which I like because it wasn't just one basic script they read from.

Only thing I would say is that it's not as obvious to find as it sounds on the website because MacDonalds isn't allowed all it's signs as Rome is a historic city and it would spoil it, it's to the right of the steps as you are looking at them, just keep walking until you come to it. It is run by MacDonalds though so I doubt they'll change that.

This was a very nice way to see the city and get some stories behind the sites. Guide was Italian with a pretty good grasp of English and took us through some spots I never would have thought to go. Awesome views of the Forum and some great tips (skip the line to the Colloseum by buying your ticket at the Forum), BEST WALKING MAP OF THE CITY (McDonalds - when in doubt about where to find a bathroom). I have paid a lot of money for tours with far less information than this one. Set aside a nice tip for these guys, they work hard for it.
