“Average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

Most hotels in Rome are quite expensive, so i ended up booking at this hotel.

Location is great as its really close to Roma Termini (this is good if you take the train to Rome, if you are flying, you could prob stay somewhere else).

Close to the Metro, so its easily accessible for getting to tourist sites.

The hotel itself was really difficult to find, we found the street easily, but the sign is small and easy to miss, we walked past it a few times. The rooms are really small, but the room and bathroom itself was clean.

Also, because this hotel is situated on a busy street, it is extremely noisy and you might find it difficult to sleep - take earplugs if you are noise sensitive.

For a short stay, its ok, but i dont know if i would return to it.

very helpful staff, clean small room and bathroom, close to Roma Termini...I stayed one night and it was ok, would not stay for longer though, it is just too small!

“Horrible Experience”

First of all, the Hotel Bergamo is difficult to find because there is no large sign on the outside of the building. All you have is a series of labeled doorbells on the wall to press to get buzzed into the building. There is an old-school elevator that you use to reach the hotel floor. Once you arrive, don't be surprised at the appearance: a cheap motel at best! The guy at the reception desk was friendly, however. The room is very basic a bed, an armoir, a bathroom. My cousin and I left only stayed there one night. We left that evening for dinner and returned to find a menacing guard who harrassed us and wouldn't let us upstairs to our room (Very scary for two young female travelers!) We finally were granted access to our room and slept on "pins and needles" until morning. We definitely would not recommend this hotel based off of our experience!

“Budget option near Termini station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2011

Only 50metres from main railway station offering clean value for money with en-suite facilities and tv also free internet access unlike a 5 star hotel i stayed in lisbon which wanted €30 for 24hrs. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The hotel is in a building which has several other hotels in its building i booked hotel with Booking.com which seems to have a good selection of these type of smaller independent hotels i usually rely on there reviews making a cut off of 7 plus which so has worked out very well for me. This hotel does not have a restaurant or serve breakfast. The staff are very friendly and obliging.
