“Just reserved again”

Went to Italy in 2009 and we stubbled on Bollo after the other apartment we had booked was a complete shame ( NOT the same owner) Actually, Our cab driver told us about Bollo and helped us get the room. We were so pleasantly surprised by the gem he had refererred. We don't travel to spend our time in a room so, this gave us what we needed- clean, safe apartment with everything we needed in a great location. Very short walk from Campo de Fiori~ just far enough away for it to be quiet. We are returning again this year and have booked Bollo again.

“Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, a bit old”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

The location is excellent, just steps away from cafés, bars, restaurants and small independent shops. The main sights are within a 15-20 minute walking distance.

The staff is very friendly, kind and speaks English well.

The room we had (4B) is small with a small bath. Both have large windows that face the calm alleyway above the apartment building's entrance. Everything was spotlessly clean but felt a bit old.

The room has a shared kitchen (with the room 4A).

During the night, you do hear some noises from the nearby streets, but it was not disturbing.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you so much for your great review. I am very glad that you liked our residence. Indeed, the impression one gets is that the rooms are old rooms, but when I took this building I chose not to alter the features too, to preserve the essence, given that this was a beautiful little monastery owned by the Sisters of S . Apollinaris. Thank you anyway for your suggestion and I hope to see you again soon.

Best Regards

“Great Choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We were really pleased with this apartment. It isn't exactly pretty (like the professional photos) but it isn't ugly either. Just not picturesque. It was very clean and reasonably sized and contained everything we needed to cook and eat. The guy who I booked everything through and who met us at the door was very friendly and helpful and even let us check in early. He also gave us tips on where to find stuff like a laundry. He also booked a cab for us at very early in the morning which was prompt and made our transfer very easy. It was a pretty long walk from the train station (a normal group would have taken the bus) but after that is was very easy to walk to everything - the colosseum, Vatican City, and the Trevi Fountain.. even a grocery store. It was nice to walk around all day, come back for a homecooked lunch and then walk until dinner. There was plenty of bedding and the beds themselves were decent (just like everywhere else we stayed). We liked the neighborhood too. You are down a little street and then another so you start to feel like you live there... but we found it easily enough. Also being away from main traffic, and the shutter windows made it very quiet at night. So if you care about posh luxury or want a beautiful room you should stay somewhere else. But if you want a comfortable, clean, centrally located apartment run by friendly helpful people you should stay here.

“Rome Vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

We enjoyed the Bollo Apartments. We stayed 6 nights, although 1 night we were not there, as we traveled to Florence and stayed there overnight. The nights that we were at Bollo, were comfortable and there were no issues. We were pleased with the area, and felt that it was convenient to all of the Rome attractions that we wanted to see. The only issue that was a minor problem was the street noise with cars and motorcycles driving up and down the street late into the evening.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thanks for the review and for your advice. We are already looking for a solution to reduce road noise, and if we understood that they were becoming a problem for our customers is thanks to you. The next time you come back to us you can sleep more peacefully.

Would recommend these apartments to everyone that goes to Rome!!!
Kitchen facilities ++++
It is easy to find (just look for Piazza Navona), great locality near restaurants and super-close to all tourist attractions.
