The rooms themselves were very clean and updated. They had flat screen televisions and a/c. The room was very clean, and had a cute little balcony(no view). It came with a separate bathroom that was large for European standards, and was also very clean. The service was very difficult. If you get picked up at the air port (which we did) they meet you there, drive you, then check you in. Then just leave and are never around. The person who does breakfast and cleaning is around all morning, but doesn't really speak any English and doesn't really help you at all. Also, we were never told a check out time, so when we got back to our room at 12 the afternoon we were checking out stuff had been put in the hall and another guest had already checked in. Not really a huge deal, we should have figured. Breakfast was typical italian. There is an elevator but it is really slow so only expect to want to take it when you have your luggage, otherwise take the three flights of stairs.
The location is what made this place so incredible. You walk out the front door and your in a nice piazza with great restaurants, then walk 10 minutes one direction and your at the Vatican. 5 minutes the other direction and your at the pantheon and piazza Nuvona. 15 minutes from the hotel walking you can reach every other destination, Colosseum, the Capital, Trivee Fountian, Spanish Steps. Everything is right there. If you don't feel like walking or need to go to the termini, the bus stops right outside the hotel. Amazing location and couldn't have been more pleased with it.
The only real issue was the electricity. The circuits blew often, and one night we had no electricity at all until morning. It was frustrating. It wasn't just us or anything. They would blow when we were eating breakfast in the morning. It was just their electricity that wasn't great. Not a huge issue though.
Overall great stay, and incredible location.
