I took the trouble to post this to spare to others what I and my daughter Kate went thru in Amari 38, Rome B&B. First, upon arrival you are lodged at a different location (officially Madonna del Riposo 38 is all busy), so they put you in the flat of the woman's mohter (via madonna del riposo 91A), then there are no plates for breakfast, just napkins (!), no interned either (contrary to what is advertised) because "people can steal your computer", we were told. On the third day you are screamed at because presumably you made an ident in a wall of "newly and expensively" refurbished room... so you better pay. Now. Useless to say no indent was made or occasioned by us! I said this should be demonstrated, proved and that unless she stops bothering us, I would call the police. We were then asked to leave. Immediately!! It was almost 10 pm, we were tired after a day of sighseeing and my daughter was not feeling well, yet we did not feel like staying there a moment longer. So we got on the last subway to reach a friend's home. Last thing we heard when leaving the crooks' place was that people should better stay in their homeland instead of travelling to Italy... I am an italianist, have been travelling to Italy for over 30yrs, am not an amateur, so to say, yet this uncivilized behaviour never happened to me before.
