Stayed here for three nights and i have to say that it made our stay in this beautiful city perfect. The location and value for money is simple unbeatable..step out onto the main street and literally only few mins from all the main attractions...the Vatican would be the furthest at approx twenty mins walk so if you didnt feel like doing this you could take the bus that stops directly outside this guesthouse. Rooms were lovely and immaculately clean with gorgeous high ceilings and had everything you could need for your stay..including a safe to keep your money, documents safe during stay. The hospitality we received was wonderful and anything we needed help with was greeted with the most helpful attitude. I would highly recommend La Papessa to make your stay in Rome perfect. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to make it back to Rome again.

We stayed here last week and it was perfect. They arranged for to be picked up at the airport and dropped to there door. The location is walking distance from all the.sights and there are macdonalds just down the.road if you not crazy about italian food. Drink is expensive and night life is none existent.there are three Irish pubs within walking distance scholars is the best one thanks to a nice bar man from ennis. The rest are rubbish.the rest sites are amazing and the people lovely..

We enjoyed our stay at La Papessa - the location really could not be any better. The wonderful Pantheon is just 5 minutes walking distance, the Colisseum 15 mins and Trevi Fountain approx 4 mins (go in the evening - the lighting is great).
Our room was pleasant (we were in the triple room above the main street) - ear plugs recommended if you're a light sleeper as the traffic is fairly loud.
The guest house is three floors up in a nice old building (not labelled outside) next to a pharmacy.
A few suggestions.... gentle music whilst having breakfast would be nice (the silence was slightly embarrassing). Would also have liked the option of (cut up) fresh fruit. Shower gel would be appreciated in the en-suite.
All in all, a good choice for a stay in central Rome. Would recommend.

"La Papessa" is not only a delightful, but also a very nice place. You will be welcomed as friends or family members before, during and after your stay. For we who are lovers of Rome, our stay has been greatly facilitated due to the central position of La Papessa. About rates, I do not think it is possible to find better value throughout the city. Finally, if we were to use one adjective to sum up our stay in this house, it would be a "smile" as the one we could see every morning on the faces of our guests.
