We loved this place. Its in a fantastic location. Its about a 20 minute walk into the centre where you’ll find the Pantheon, Piazza Novana, Trevi Fountain etc. Otherwise there is a tram at the end of the road which takes you into the centre for a Euro.
Piero the owner is really friendly and helpful. This is more of an apartment rental rather than a hotel, which we loved as it gives you the freedom to come and go as you please, but Piero is on the other end of the phone if you need assistance. Breakfast is at a cafe round the corner which was coffee and a pastry. Its full of the locals so really great to people watch and interesting to see how the locals go about their morning.
The room itself was great, very clean, cleaned every day. We had the double room, which had its own bathroom. It has cable TV (although only a handful of English TV channels), free Wi-Fi and safe. The shower also has a built in radio which was nice.
I fell in love with Trastevere with the little lanes which are full of restaurants, and I would suggest going to these rather than the main square as they were a quarter of the price. We paid about 40 Euros for 3 course meal, 2 bottles of wine, bread, coffee in a little restaurant in one of the many lanes.
We also found a great little bar called Bar San Callisto, its a real local bar, and the drinks are cheap. We paid 2.50 Euros for a large Peroni whereas they were more 4-6 Euros in the square.
Fab place, and would definitely recommend this to anyone!
