“"Very friendly and comfortable accomodation"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We stayed four days in Rome this september and enjoyed our stay at the Abraccio Morfeo very much. This accomodation is located not too far away from the city.
There is a tramway nearby which goes to the central station in about fifteen minutes.
The Abraccio Morfeo has small but very nice and clean rooms. One of our rooms had a balcony with a nice view to the garden. The breakfast was good and very extensive.
Mario, the owner of the bed & breakfast, is very friendly, hospitable and helpful. We had a great time in Rome and the Abraccio Morfeo. We can highly recommend it and hope we`ll be back someday.

Room Tip: "Rooms to the garden are quiter"

“Great great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

What a sweet little place! More like staying in the really nice guest room of a friend's house. Clean, reliable wifi and a nice breakfast spread too. I'd recommend this for people who've either been to Rome before and are looking to explore the outer edges, or for people that have a little more time. It is about 20-30 minutes from the tourist center, so if you're on a timeline and want to see all the big sights, it's probably not the place for you. But if you want to explore the Pigneto area, check out some of the chiller side of Rome, then you really couldn't go wrong. Only wish I could have stayed longer!

Room Tip: If you're coming from Termini, the street car you take is at the end of the station (where the a...

“Great stay at Abbraccia Morfeo in Rome”

We're a young couple and just returned from our great vacations in Rome on the 22th of November 2011. We've really enjoyed our stay in Abbraccia Morfeo. The room was clean, not as small as described below. The bed was made each day. The breakfast was good, rather sweet - bread so you can make your own toasts, jam, coffee from a machine, fresh fruits, cereals. From my point of view it's everything you need to start a day full of walking. The garden is beautful, unfortunately we didn't have a direct access, as it's rather accessed by the owners. It's a pity because we are animal lovers (there are some cats, dogs and chickens) but we didn't want to bother our host. I think during the season there are some lights in it, but they were turned off during our stay. The B&B is calm, except some TV noise from next building and the planes passing, but it didn't happen each day. We've discovered a great indian restaurant, in case you're bored with eating pizza and pasta each day, here's the address: http://www.tripadvisor.fr/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d795698-Reviews-Kashmir-Rome_Lazio.html
The area itself isn't that bad, a bit isolated and looks poor to me, but the street on which B&B is situated is very nice and quiet. We have even received a bottle of a good red wine, thank you Mario!

“Excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

We just got back from Rome where we spent our honeymoon at Abbraccia Morfeo. We would like to thank Mario for his exceptional hospitality: when we arrived at Termini, the ticket machine took away our 40 EUR without giving us a ticket and nobody could help us to get it back at the station. When we mentioned that to him, he called the ticketing company immediately and they agreed to send the money onto his bank account in two weeks so he gave the money back to us in advance without hesitating even for a second. We have never experienced such a gesture from anyone before, so we were and are very grateful and impressed by his helpfulness.
Thank you, Mario, once again! ;o)

“We really enjoyed staying here but it is a long way to the centre of Rome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

We stayed with Mario for 6 days in July and we loved the b&b. I have just read the last review and there are some points I would agree but not everything.
The property is a little quiet oasis away from the bustle of Rome but it is just as the last tripadvisor described a long and often VERY crowded journey to the centre of Rome
We found Mario and his partner to be excellent, friendly hosts. It is true thet they leave the propery at weekend when Marios Mum and Dad take over. We didnt think this was a problem. Our room was very clean as was the small but well appointed bathroom
Our room overlooked the garden with the dogs, cats and chickens and we spent many happy times sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine watching their antics
On Marios recomendation we found 2 local places to eat and so avoided evening travel into Rome, also every evening we joined the locals for a drink(or2) at the Green Bar on the main street. Our Italian isnt good but we were made so welcolm by the Bangladeshi owner and his regulars
We should also mention the price, Mario gave us a very generous discount because we stayed 6 nights and the overall pice was vey reasonable
Would we stay there again ------------------- sadly no but for no other reason than the poor public transport into Rome and we are sad to think that we may not meet Mario again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the garden
