“Great place!”

I stayed at L'Arca for 4 days in May 2010.

Location: very convenient in terms of getting there from/to Termini and only several bus stops from the Spanish Steps and all the tourist action. The flat is located on a quiet street near a bountiful market and small restaurants/cafes. Getting home by taxi from the centre cost me only 10 euros. It is also a 30 min slow walk to the park.

The room: very comfortable, spacious with a colonial feel. My personal bathroom was right next door which was absolutely fine. Everything was spotlessly clean although I have never met the person who does all the cleaning.

The kitchen is well equipped and although I haven't used it at all, the couple next door was cooking there all the time and looking very pleased. I got my morning coffee and food from a small but popular cafe right across the road.

I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. I will certainly stay there during my next visit to Rome.

“The perfect home away from home - and in Rome too!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2010

L'Arca B&B is in a lovely, charming older building - old elevator and a marble staircase to get you to the 2nd floor. The owner, Daniella, is the perfect hostess - she took 30 minutes to orient us to the city and major attractions when I first arrived with my two teenage daughters. Our room was very large, high ceilings, big windows, comfortable beds. Our own bathroom was down the hall - shower water pressure was very good. The crowning feature of Daniela's B&B is the kitchen - ample breakfasts and very well stocked to do your own meal prep. Her coffee is wonderful.
There is a charming market one block away where you can purchase everything you would need for lunches and an eat-in dinner if you are so inclined (fresh bread, cheese, veg and fruit, meats).
L'Arca is within easy walking distance of the major sites (about 10 minutes from Villa Borghese, 10-15 minutes from the Spanish steps) and is 2 blocks from a major bus stop - but we walked everywhere very easily. Several good restaurants in the immediate area, well priced and frequented by the locals.
We will be back. L'Arca is the perfect home away from home.

“Central Rome location, very helpful and friendly host & great breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2010

The host was very accommodating and helpful, giving good advice for locations, sights, maps and train information even to the beach. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the building is a traditional roma building with high ceilings, large windows with wooden shutters - great place. There are plenty of restaurants within 5 mins walk that sell great choice of food, even a Chinese which was great.
Breakfast is great - a self serve with cereals, toast,yoghurt's,croissants,biscuits,cakes,fruit juices tea and coffee and I'm sure other things I missed.

“Great Host but rooms don't have wash rooms inside”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2010

I travelled with wife and 2 kids and this was a good place to stay in.

=== Location ===
Location is a bit outside the hotel district and one needs to reach by Public transport. However, the bus stops are quite nearby and the location is quite decent and quiet one.

=== Rooms ===
A part of a building has been converted into the rooms. The room we stayed in was quite large and cozy. The only problem (and it was a big problem for us) was that the washrooms were outside, though separate for each room. As this is B&B, it does not have a reception. The host was not available as she stays at different location away from this one.

=== Breakfast ===
A self-service buffet breakfast was available. It was great.

====Hospitality===
The USP of this B&B is Daniella - the host. A very charming lady who offered all her help to us. The only reason she could not guide us properly is because we reached late (2100 hrs) in the night and were too tired to even ask how to get around. She explained this to us only on the second day.

“Clean, comfortable, peaceful and friendly in a nice location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2010

We went to Rome at the end of April for three days for my fiance's birthday and stayed in L'Arca. We found it to be a really great place to stay. The room was nice and big and clean and tastefully decorated. It is situated on a quiet street in a nice area close to some embassies and is within walking distance of the Termini central station. We walked from L'Arca to many of Rome's famous attractions.

The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us some good, helpful advice during our stay.

I would recommend this place to anybody.
