My "July 2010" option above is not that accurate since I actually visited Rome in December 2009 (there was no such option in the field so I chose the oldest possible).
My stay at Ludovisi Luxury Rooms was pretty nice.
This is all about clean rooms (which could have been a bit bigger) and a quite local area. There is no long walk in order to find Via Veneto but it is a really close stroll to Villa Borghese and its fabulous sights. Walking from the Rooms up to Via Veneto is a nice quite stroll but other than that you wouldn't say that sights are close enough to it.
The Rooms didn't offer any breakfast back then. I hope they do now since the price was enough for a breakfast to be included and not just for a clean room to sleep.
A good tip would also be to ask for a room with a view somewhere. Our room was one of those that faces the opposite's building concrete and windows. Even a view to the street would be good.
p.a.
