Where to start? This is no bed and breakfast - it is actually a serviced flat with 5 rooms in an apartment building. The place was converted from one apartment and all the rooms open onto a central corridor. Sound isolation is really poor. There are no carpets anywhere so the sound carries. There is a hell of lot of noise coming from the corridor (especially in the mornings) - everyone could hear everything going on in the place, leaving us with a sense of having no privacy whatsoever. We never really felt comfortable in the place even for a few minutes. Each morning we were woken up early by the staff making breakfast, receiving phone calls and talking and just shuffling about. This was no holiday for us. Despite complaining and asking them to try to be more quiet, the guy never managed - he was just unable to be quiet or gentle when managing his business. You could hear every spoon etc. being put on every breakfast tray from 7:30 or so, lots of banging and bumping. We never got a good night's sleep and returned home more tired than when we arrived. The breakfasts were awful - almost nothing and very poor quality. In the end we went to a nearby supermarket and got lovely things for breakfast for only a few Euros, so we wondered why they couldn't manage something like this themselves. The rooms were far smaller and less nice than we had anticipated from the pictures on the site, although they were comfortable in a basic sort of way. The only things to note on the more positive side were the location next to the Vatican, which was good and that there were lots of local shops in the neighbourhood. It was also relatively close to the metro and other public transport Overall, we paid way too much for this place - from the point of view of value for money, this place is a big loser.
