“Comfortable & quiet place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2010

I stayed in Amarcord with my husband for 7 days. We choose this B&B because we wanted some place to stay in Rome which was close to the historical center, which was not expensive and that was a respectable place to stay.
It is really close to Colosseum and to Termini station. This way we could visit Rome by walking as planned.
It is also very quiet. We could sleep very well there without being disturbed by other guests or by noisy people on the streets.
Breakfast was simple, but nice, room was the same as showed on the pictures on the website. Comfortable, with airconditioner, a clean bathroom, hot water and even a mini refrigerator was available. Towels were replaced each 2 days (suggestion - include that clearly in the rules of the B&B).
The best thing about Amarcord is Mr. Anselmo, a ~80 years old man that welcomed us, explained how to reach the main attractions and important points in Rome. We felt like home. He was really supportive and attentive. We had an issue there and he solved that very quickly and went to our room to explain what happened. It was very nice of him!
My only point for improvement is the cleaning of the room. There was a lot of dust under the bed as it was not being sweeped for a long time. Of course it was all over the room after the 2nd day, and the "little clean room service" was not removing even the visible part of that. Improving that, I would rate Amarcord as 10!
I would recommend this B&B for the ones that want to visit Rome.

“nice, clean and budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

charming place, we stayed in the room pictured in the middle on their website, it was big and comfortable, a lot o character. Although we arrived very late we were very warm welcomed, provided with detailed description of local area and were given many nice and useful tips. The staff was very helpful indeed. The breakfast was ok, nothing special , nice coffee and apple croissants. In the morning we enjoyed alive and absolutely beautiful fortepiano playing (no worries it happens at about 10am)

“Clean. calm and extremly friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2010

I spent a three nights at the Amarcord B&B in Rome in May 201o. It was an excellent peice/quality relationship. The room was nicely decorated, clean and very calm and was equipped with a TV. There was a bathroom with shower and hair dryer. All the staff was extremly friendly and helpful. In fact I have rarely met such considerate staff in a hotel.
The B&B has a great location, very close to the tube and termini station. It is so central that the main sights are in walking distance. I would highly recommend the B&B to anybody visting Rome.

“A little lovely and central B&B in Rome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2009

My boyfriend and I spent a few nights at the Amarcord B&B in Rome last April and we were really very happy with it: the B&B had just been completely refurbished and for a very low rate we had a clean, lovely room with nice colours and decorations. The room had air-conditioning and the bathroom was en-suite, furthermore, the man who met us for the check-in was friendly and helpful. We had a basic Italian breakfast at the cafè down the street and we were happy with it considering how low was the rate we paid.
The B&B was just a few metres away from the underground station and very, very central so we were able to reach all the attractions by walking. We had a very exciting holiday and are completely satisfied with the place we stayed at.
