After a little over two weeks in Italy, Rome was our last stop and Mario de' Fiori was by far the best hotel of our entire trip. The rooms were clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The reception was helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the shopping district and a short stroll from the Spanish Steps. It was nice to have a refuge to come to after a long day of sightseeing. Next time in Rome, we will definitely stay at this stylish boutique hotel again.

Mario dei Fiori is an excellent hotel with rooms that are both luxurious and comfortable. The hotel makes you feel like you have a private flat in the middle of Rome near Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Via Condotti (right near the spanish steps)

The room was decorated to a high standard with a large flatscreen television. The staff were excellent and very responsive. The bathroom tub and shower were both amazing and nice toletries were provided.

Breakfast was offered as room service in the morning as there is not a seperate dining area. The one thing I would say is that the rates for breakfast were expensive and to get out and enjoy the cafe culture of Rome. Right near the hotel is the famous Cafe Eustachio which serves excellent coffee if you can get. My advice is just pay a little more for your coffee and take a seat at a table versus counter service.

Also check out Il Brillo Parlante for lunch / dinner - the food and wines are excellent. The hotel was able to make us a reservation. they can also arrange for tours of the Vatican and Ruins for you.

If you are looking for a great boutique hotel in Rome I can thoroughly recommend Mario De' Fiori 37. Located only a couple of minutes walk from the Spanish Steps, this hotel is perfectly located to explore the old town and all of the key sights in Rome. The hotel itself has no restaurant or bar but you are spolit for choice in the surrounding streets. Great size room and the level of customer service from the staff is second to none.
