“Baci da roma is the right place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

If you need a place to stay in Rome and what you need is a descend place with an excellent gentle hostess[Patrizia]clean trendy and different stay at Baci. The region is excellent with trams buses all around only 3 stops from termini.though mine room was small was functional and very beautifull. If you have problem with small rooms ask for the front rooms. My friend had this problem so stayed in Merilyn room.Mine was inspired by Audrey Heybourn.Cool! We had a delay about 4 hours but Patrizia sent another girl to wait for us.The building was something else super.Breakfast was coupons to the cafe next corner where we had the best capuccino in town.Jy=ust loved it.Recommend it? Definetely if you like something new away from the typical b+b you know.Patrizia thnks again for all.KIsses from Sophia Georgia Manos and Helias

“Nice on the inside”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

We booked this room through expedia, but didn't realize (or read the small print) that we had not paid online, but were expected to pay at Baci. Luckily Baci took Visa! The place was hard to find, since it is amongst residencial apartments, which is what this place was. An apartment converted into rooms, although it was well done. Once located, we were greeted by a hand written sign with three phone numbers to call. I'm not sure about you fellow travellers, but we opted out of getting a roaming plan and wanted a real vacation away from computers and cell phones, although only for emergency. Patricia (the owner) was quite upset that we had not gotten her email or voicemails regarding our arrival time. I assumed owners/managers of hotels or places to stay would remain onsite to greet guests, but this was not the case here. After feeling like we totally inconvenienced this lady, she was still willing to take our money for the room.
The room was nice and spacious with a separate tub/shower area beside the bed. The AC worked wonderfully, which was a saving grace during the +37C temperatures. The breakfast vouchers gave us coffee and a pastry, which seemed lacking. There is a coffee machine in the apartment too. I discovered a hair dryer upon request. The room has a bar fridge.
We booked this place based on tripadvisor reviews and it's proximity to the train station. It was not very close to the station as advertised, maybe i'm used to being closer. Taxi's were impossible to find too. Also hard to find places to eat on a sunday. One amazing discovery was the Gelato factory, about 1.5blocks from room, highly recommend it! Also grocery store within blocks.
I believe there are only 3 or 4 rooms in this place, which means it is quiet. The doors are heavy and are prone to slamming though, which is very noisy.

Room Tip: Make sure you arrange meeting times with Baci

“The coolest place in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2010

The B&B is very well located, The metropolitana is just a couple of minutes walk, the rooms are all fantastic with a lot of design solutions and such a good test, Patrizia the owners is a very gentle person that know how to put all in the right place and very well organized. There are many shops all around and restaurants, main train station is five minutes away by bus, the entire area is very multicultural, with some trandy clubs.

“Don't waste your Money - Way overpriced & Owner is Inconsiderate”

My wife and I had reservations at Baci on the first & last nights of our stay in Italy. The place was OK for the first night, but what the owner, Patrizia, calls a B & B is just a rented room in her apartment. We thought our plans were changing, so we initially cancelled our 2nd night's reservations via e-mail. We reconsidered, and I e-mailed Patrizia the next day to see of she still had room. She said yes. We told her when our train was scheduled to arrive (early afternoon). Our train was several hours late arriving in Rome. We had no cell phone, but a nice man on the train let us use his cell to leave a voice message and text for her. When we arrived at Baci, Patrizia was not there to greet us. The apartment was locked. We had all of our stuff and no way to get into the B & B we supposedly had reservations at. I called Patrizia from a pay phone. She told me she had left town because we initially cancelled our reservation and she had made plans. When I explained that our train was late, her response was an angry "Oh Come On!". She was nasty and defensive, and said we could try knocking on the door and hope the other guests let us in. What a nightmare. If you're going to run a B & B, then be there to welcome your guests. Don't be upset with them because their train is late and it inconveniences you! We were fortunate enough to walk several minutes down the street to find the most gracious, thoughtful front desk host, Bernardo, at the lovely Hotel Donatello. For almost the same price on the same street, you can have a gorgeous room in an elegant hotel with a much nicer breakfast. Patrizia is scamming tourists that don't know there are better options (the Donatello) for almost the same price.

“Uniquely Great B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2009

This is a beatiful B&B in the centre of Rome, very well connected to the main attractions.
The hostess, Patrizia, was very helpful.
The deco from the beautiful ceilings, furniture and bathroom was really trendy and well mantained. It had all the mod cons you need (aircon and safe free of charge).
Breakfast can be served in your room or you can have it in the bar downstairs.
We booked this B&B through the B&B Association of Rome but you can book direct on their website: www.bacidaroma.it
