I stayed in this hotel for 1 night only.. I was supposed to stay for 5, but I had enough after the first night.

Like some other girls wrote before me, the hostel owner comes into rooms without permission. I was also a girl travelling alone and he offered me a coffee (he said they do that with every guest) and after this wanted to give me a massage but ended up touching me all over. I asked him to stop and when he left my room he told me he'd be back later. Well, luckily I left the place before that.. But lost 200€, for nothing.

Unfortunately this wasn't the only thing to complain. After 2 days I noticed I have bed bug bites all over my body.. So there is really nothing good to say about this place.
The rooms are also very dirty, there was hair everywhere and the toilet was a mess.

DON'T STAY!!! Pay a little more somewhere else and at least you'll be safe!!

Stayed in this hostel a couple of days ago for one night. I was only there for a few hours and I am so glad I did not have to stay there longer like some of my friends did. The only redeeming thing about this hostel was the location which was a one minute walk to the Termini station. The hostel is nothing like the pictures on the website. The fans didnt work properly and the bathrooms were right next to the reception desk, which I found made me feel quite uncomfortable having to walk past the staff all the time. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and one of the shower heads actually fell off on my friends head when she was having a shower. The staff didn't understand much English and didn't seem like they wanted us there. We were given dirty blankets and some of the bedroom doors didn't lock properly. The beds were okish and were sleepable, but the staff played loud music into the early hours of the evening, making sleeping hard.
Please don't stay here.

As a previous reviewer mentioned, this hostel is in a great location (ie a few minutes walk from the main Termini Station). It's also cheap. However the rest was disappointing: it has two tiny old, not very clean, shower room/toilets with cold water and manky loo seat. A cramped dorm with upper beds unstable (my friend almost fell through the unstable slats) and again little space. The ceiling fan didn't work. Certainly would not recommend this for a single female. It's a shame that hostels in Italy are not of the same standard as those in UK, Germany Scandinavia and USA.

We stayed at this hostel for two nights and after backpacking around Europe for a month we naturally chose the dorm room which were perfectly adequate. The location and its accessibility from the train station gave the hostel a great value for money in the city of Rome! But more importantly Monti's hospitality was unbelievable! Not only did he give us a map, showed us all the good sites and recommended us restaurants, he also took us on a night out! It was my boyfriend’s 20th birthday and he gave him a bottle of wine, drove us in and out of the clubbing area and partied with us in his favourite club! He even stopped in a food shop to buy us food on the way back and helped us to our room. We are forever grateful for such a great company!
