This B and B was recommended to me by a local and it was great. Right on the Piazza the view from my room was fantastic - a clear view to St Peters basillica and Vatican City. Although on the 5th floor this was fine as the lift worked perfectly, all the floors were marbled and the entrance door was huuuge! I had a private bathroom with a powerful shower and there was also a kitchen which I didnt use - but looked fully equipped. Everything was wonderful during my stay (except the weather which cant be helped). The B and B felt very safe and so did the local area (I waa travelling on my own). On the last day my hosts let me leave my bags in their house, and leant me an umbrella. Their English, whilst limited, was way better than my Italian and they were extremely friendly. My breakfast was included and I had to take a little card to a local cafe for a capuccion and a cornetto (croissant) which was delicious - I soon learned it was the done thing to stand at the counter (and I swapped to caffelatte!) Ottaviano metro is only a short distance away and I left on this, for the train to FUI, all of which was easily done and the Metro is only 1 Euro! This was a great place to stay, walking distance to lots of attractions and you can keep your eye on the queue for the Vatican museum and pick a day when it is shortest!!
