“Friendly Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in February. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were reasonably clean and spacious. The area that the hotel is located in is reasonably run down but we had no problems during our stay and the location is great for the metro, train station and sights.

Each day they ask you what time you would like your breakfast and what you would like to drink with your breakfast the next morning as they serve it in your room. The food for breakfast is the same each morning: Italian croissants and french toast biscuits with jam, butter or nutella, I'd recommend the lovely sweet croissants!

The en-suite bathroom was good, we had no problems with the shower heat or pressure consistency, although the soap holder had probably seen better days.

The only downsides we had was that the person that lived above us (we were in room 9) would get up about an hour before we did and it sounded like they dragged their chair along the floor which was really loud in our room so often woke us up before we were ready to get up, although this wouldn't be a problem if you normally wake up before 7am and we don't think that is within the hotel's control. Also the hairdryer did not have a permanent on switch (presumably to save electricity as there were only 3 plug sockets in our room as well) so my hand often got cramp whilst drying my hair, but again not a problem if you don't intend to use the hairdryer!

The bed was definitely on the firm side, so probably alright if you sleep on your back, and the pillows were fairly thin but overall we enjoyed our stay even if we were a little tired.

If you're on a budget, this is your hotel in Rome! Breakfast served in the room, cozy atmosphere, very nice staff. 1 minute walk from metro station - restaurants and shops around.

Really unexpensive for the comfort and location.

“Hidden little gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My girlfriend picked out this hotel for my 30th birthday trip last year. Picked it blind as she had no idea where to stay.

Turned out to be an inspired choice!

Staff are very friendly, room was very clean and breakfast was brought into our room each morning whenever you wanted it.

Make sure you ask for an en-suite because I don't think all rooms have a bathroom attached.

Lovely little place, great location - we walked everywhere - Colosseum was 10 minutes away on foot and the main station where the airport buses stop is again only 10 minutes on foot.

Only problem - it took us a while to find it - no signage! That's a tiny tiny detail, it really is a lovely little place.

Ciao!

“GREAT family owned Hotel and bargain for the money!”

I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Rome, and knew nothing about the city. We got a great rate, great accomodations, Incredible service, and the owner made us feel like we were at home. They offered great choices in dining, gave us directions, maps, and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The rooms are large, we had air conditioning (didnt really need in october) huge breakfast each morning made personally by the owner and delivered to the room by the way, and the rooms were immaculate. It is a short 5 minute walk to the Termini train station and although in a middle calss neighborhood which some have mentioned, we never EVER felt in anyway afraid of the people or the surroundings. I was out and about in the middle of the night coming home and never worried one bit. I highly Reccomend this hotel for families, couples, and singles. If you are looking for a HIGH end hotel this is not the place for you. if you are looking for a CLEAN, SAFE, FRIENDLY, LARGE ROOM, Wonderful place to sleep, this is the PLACE FOR YOU! I loved the owner, (even bought her flowers due to the great service) and her family, and felt like we mattered to them, and they wante us to enjoy our stay. I will only stay there when I return to ROME! Oh yes, they also have free WIFI and it is GREAT, and has decent speed!

Room Tip: Just ask for a room with Air if it is summer months (they may have it in all but not sure) other tha...
