The hostel is located in the area's most pleasant of Rome because it is quite eccentric, in a neighborhood near the train station and offers many activities. Also is easily accessible by public transit and can move quickly (on foot) at some tourist spots such Coliseum.Le the fact that it is near the Termini station also allows easy access to the outside Rome or in other parts of the city. Our room was very clean, nicely arranged and decorated. It gave a place where there was a lot of movement but it was pretty soundproof so that we will sleep without problems. This hostel is a good compromise (at least off season) for someone looking to visit Rome and to be well accommodated without putting too much in his hostel

I had a horrible experience with this hostel. When arrived at the location, there was no one there and there were confusing instructions not to enter the hostel but to call some number. After 20 minutes of trying to find another location that we were supposedly supposed to go to even though we had had no prior warning of this, we finally convinced someone at the hostel to come get us. Another 20 minutes later (it was raining and around 11pm) some man finally showed up. He took us on a hike into a strange part of Rome to another location which was extremely SKETCHY. It was an unmarked building that led into a dark corridor and then up some stairs into what looked like an old apartment that had been stuffed with bunk beds. It was not at allllllll like what the pictures are like or the descriptions online. I was with 2 other girls, and another girl we had met on the way to the hostel who needed someplace to stay, and we all felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable. After seeing the room, we left immediately. I would never recommend this hostel to anyone.

This is THE worst hostel experience I have ever had. I arrived in Rome with my two female friends at 11pm at night, we walked from Termini to the B&B Dante. We arrived at tried to contact Walter. He told us that we had to go to another place, we had no idea where it was and I had to convince him to come to bring us to this other hostel. We arrived at "Walter's Guesthouse" which was an unmarked door that lead to a tiny apartment. He had shoved some beds in a small room. It was absolutely disgusting. I did not feel safe from the moment that his employee came to meet us. We did not stay there. I would never recommend it to anyone.

Looking at the other reviews it confirms that Dante is a front for Walter. You will get moved to either Walters Guest House or Walters Rooms. At Walters Guest House you will find the following: The Breakfast area/ Office/ Reception is dingy, cramped and unwelcoming. We expect Rome to be crazy and chaotic but to be made to lug our bags from one place to another then overcharged and disregarded was unfair. The room was clean but it was cramped should only be 50euros a night with extra person 10 or so. Breakfast is non existent. The staff are rude and disrespectful. Walter is chaotic and emotional especially when challenged regarding the false advertising and overpriced accomodation.
