“Great place for independent travelers.”

We stayed at was B&B Inandout Rome Centre Navona (Vicolo Del Fico 15). This B&B is located about two blocks from Piazza Navona and is centrally located so that Campo Dei Fiori, Pantheon, Trastevere, and a whole bunch of other sites are within reasonable walking distance. My girlfriend and I are in decent physical shape and we walked EVERYWHERE! I mean we walked to the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, Bocca de la Verita, Vatican, just for fun and to look for good gelato (tip - San Crispino near the Trevi Fountain and I Caruso north of the Forum are the best, with San Crispino having better sorbetto and I Caruso having better gelato (in our opinion)). Like everyone else says, eat a Da Francesco's - particularly their roast lamb with roasted potatoes. If you want to beat the crowds, either dine there for lunch, eat dinner between 7 - 8 pm, or make a reservation. With regard to finding the place and checking in, it's best that you print out a map and show it to the taxi driver so that you don't have to worry. That's what we did (from Termini Train Station) and we had no problems. Bring a phone and give Philomena a ring before you get there so that someone will be there to meet you at the door to check you in (no one is there during the day except for breakfast and to straighten up your room). If you are an independent traveler who doesn't need a lot of help navigating Rome, this is the place for you! I would DEFINITELY stay there again the next time I'm in Rome.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for one not facing the street.

“In and Out 2 - Good place to stay”

I'm writing my review now while in the B&B using their strong wifi.

We arranged for them to have us picked up at the airport. I don't know if we could have easily found this place on our own. It is on a narrow street but very near Piazza Navona. Very good location as we practically walked to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezzia, Campo di Fiori, Colloseum and Termini Station. Tomorrow we're walking towards the Vatican area.

The owners are all very nice - Allesandra who promptly answered all my emails; Filomena who welcomed us and explained about the place and Valentina who serves breakfast.
None of them stays here full time. Valentina leaves at 2pm. We were given keys so it's as if we own the place.

Our room was the smallest one but it was still good. The sofa bed is really very comfortable. The bathroom is nice and clean. There's a refrigerator and a TV in the room. There's airconditioning but we don't need it now as it's really cold

For the price and the location, this really is a bargain.

Booking a room in the IN-and-Out B&B means you need to be well aware of the fact that it is NOT a "hotel". There is no lobby or proper reception and there is not even an elevator. To be true, you need to climb exactly 76 stairs in order to reach the building's 3rd floor where the InAndOut is situated. That being said, if you intend to climb to your room ten times a day than you're not only in the wrong accommodation, but probably int the wrong city.

The InAndOut's location is as superb as it can possibly be (especially for its price), less than 5 minutes from Punto Sisto (the bridge to Trastevere) and Campo Di Fiori. Piazza Navona is another 5 minutes walking and the Colosseum - another 5. Rome is all about walking and this is the perfect base for touring the city. During our previous vacation we stayed at a hotel located further to the east and closer to the Termini station, so the difference is more than noticeable.

The service is great, and it is more than recommended to use their shuttle service. Nothing is more convenient than a driver picking you up from the terminal and dropping you at the B&B's entrance. They are very reliable. also ask them to call a Taxi when you leave the hotel. For a couple this is roughly the same price and ten times more convenient than a taxi to Termini and a train to the airport.

Breakfast is very minimal, but we needed nothing more than the perfectly baked pastry (they've been working with the same bakery for years), the OJ and the Cappuccino to start the day...after all 30 minutes later we had another perfect espresso at the Campo Di Fiori.

The rooms are relatively spacious and decorated nicely (in most budget hotels in Rome, not just B&B's, the rooms are the size of Harry Potter's room in the 1st movie) with IKEA stuff, so we enjoyed its simplicity.

To sum it up, this place is PERFECT for couples (young or young in mind) but not recommended for people unable to climb stairs. We will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: There are 4 rooms there. We stayed in the "Mandarine room" which was very nice. I read tha...

“Great location at a good price”

The place is a few minutes walk from Piazza Navona. Less than 10 Euros cab ride from train station. The Inandout Vicolo del Fico is on a narrow street, cars can't drive along it, so you will haul your luggage maybe 50 feet down the cobblestone street.

The B&B is on the 2nd floor of an old apartment building in a very old part of Rome, There is no elevator. The rooms are all recently updated and very well kept and very clean.

For the price, the location can't be beat. This B&B is a perfect location for discovering Rome, we practically walked everywhere.

Filomena is extremely friendly and she gave us some useful tips on restaurants, bars, and other places to go.

Breakfast was OK, and Filomena told us she's working on improving her breakfast offerings. The AC worked very well, and the free Internet (wifi) signal was very strong. The area has a lot of nightlife, but the double-paned windows kept the room very quiet.

I had an early flight. Filomena arranged for the private car & driver to FCO (45 Euros) who came for me before 7AM. She even invited me to help myself to the breakfast food (juice, yogurt, fruit...) in the kitchen, as I would depart before normal breakfast service started. That was a very pleasant surprise.

Again - there's no elevator, no concierge, no regular front desk person, and no permanent staffer there. Don't expect a 4* hotel with all amenities. However, this was a delightful, reasonably-priceed B&B in an unbeatable location.

Taxi from thre train station was 21 euro. ( I wonder if I got ripped off) The driver could not find the street easily. My suggestion is to tell the driver that it is next to the police station by the Ponte Sisto near Campo Dei Fiori. The B&B is located in a regular residential building. Be prepared to walk up 3 flights of stairs. When you walk into the apartment you will find it to be tastefully furnished. We were in the mandarin room. There was a window in the bedroom. A safe is located in the room. The room itself is small but functional and perfect for a couple. The bathroom was super clean and totaly updated as was the rest of the apartment. Nothing old here. AC worked well. No english news channels on the cable TV. Free wifi. Breakfast was simple consisting of cappuccino or coffee with a croissant and yogurt.

The B&B is close (5-10 minutes) to the Jewish Ghetto and Piazza Navona. Super close to Testevere via the Ponte Sisto. Walk to the collesium area was about 20- 25 minutes.
Overall this was a great location.

Filomena, the owner, set up our taxito the airport. It was 40 euros and arrived right on schedule.

I was able to overlook that it was a small room ( as we were barely on the room) and in exchange I got a perfectly placed location that was clean and friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for a window room
