My teenage son and I spent a great week in Rome in an apartment at Via del Pavone 36. The location was perfect, close to Piazza Navona, the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo and Campo dei Fiori. The apartment was clean and well stocked, and the apartment managment could not have been more helpful, was there to greet us upon our arrival, and responded immediately a request for assistance.
I feel compelled to correct an opinion given in prior reviews I read on this apartment. The sofa bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very quiet. There was a bit of street noise on Saturday night, but nothing remarkable. The windows and shutters make the apartment very dark and quiet. The kitchen is more than adequate for basic cooking, although sitting 4 around the table would be a challenge. Whle the apartment can accomodate four persons--two on the couch and two in the loft, I think the apartment is better suited to two or three at the most.
My son and I have been to Rome many times and we would very much recommend this property

i choose this apartment for its location. The apartment is small (because it is in the old center) but adequate. Small things like salt, oil, toiletpaper, etc are provided. No deposit, just leave the keys on the table. Surrounding area is safe, and close to bus stop, Vaticaan, grocery shop. Near Navona square and Campi di Fiori. Sofa-bed, but is good quality. Apartment is in a noisy apartmentblock, so bring your earplugs!
Price was €557 for 5 nights (24 - 29 December 2008). Because of the noise i would not stay there again.
