“Great find in the heart of Rome!”

We stumbled upon this listing when making reservations for our trip to Italy. We stayed at Chroma on September 12th and had a great room with modern amenities, as well as a fantastic French door opening with a view of the street below and the art museum across the way. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in. The day we checked out, they held our luggage for us while we toured the Vatican Museums/Sistine Chapel.

The staff was so helpful; they provided a map for us and directions/information to tourist attractions and restaurant recommendations. They looked up the train schedules for us to our next destination as well. We also blew the fuse not once, but twice and they were very forgiving.

Breakfast was great too...loved the toasted ham & cheese!

“Excellent place to stay while in Rome”

My friend and I stayed at the Chroma Hotel June 15 - 18 2011. What a terrific place, Michelle and Jerson who work at the Chroma are just the best! They went out of their way to help us out with booking our flight home and suggesting restaurants etc. This place is so cool, located in a walk up which makes you feel as if you are actually living in Rome. There are great restaurants within walking distance and so is the Red Bus (City Site Seeing bus). The Hotel is very clean and modern. Breakfast was included with the price of the room and was prepared by Jerson we had plenty to eat.

“very easy to recommend!!!”

We found this hotel to be the perfect place to stay for a visit to rome, it is within 5 mins walk from the train station and within walking distance from all the major roman tourist attractions. Particularly close to the roman forum, and colliseum

The hotel itself is like one floor of a building, and is not easy to find, but once you have it is well worth the trouble. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious, well decorated and very comfortable. There is no hotel bar or restaurant to speak of, and breakfast is served on a terraced area.

It is also within 5 mins walk from any number of reasonably priced restaurants, with excellent food.

Overall i recommend this hotel wholeheartedly!!!!!

“Fantastic Hotel/B&B, Good Location, Great Value & Smart Suite Room.”

Spent alot of time searching for a great value hotel for our valentines visit to Rome. Ended up picking the chroma hotel due to good ratings/reviews and we were not dissapointed. Hotels are very highly priced in rome, so it was hard to find a good balance. We stayed in the ruby fountain room, which is the suite room. Fantastic room, great to have a living room area included in the room. The drench shower is brilliant, there is a big lcd tv in in the living area with most sky channels, the bed is huge and very comfy, the lighting is very good, with a switch that makes everything red if wanted. The staff are very friendly, and cleaned the room daily.
Only downfalls were that the breakfast was very basic, but the staff packed our breakfast up for us when we needed it on the go which was fantastic. Plenty of cafes/restaurants around for a full cooked breakfast if wanted. It is about 5/10mins walk from termini train station. 5mins walk from the coloseum, but a walk right into the centre (trevi/pantheon) takes 15/20mins. No big problem tho, as it was a nice walk. The hotel was quite hard to find to begin with, but following a map it isnt a problem.
Highly recommended, great value, very clean, pretty close to everything without being bang in the middle of the touristy sites. Highly consider staying here if visiting rome!!!

“Good location”

Good location.
We had the Emerald room. Large enough, but too noisy, as we could hear EVERYTHING on the lobby. Therefore we couldn't sleep properly for the entire stay.
The breakfast was good, the receptionists very helpful and polite and the room was clean.
We would return, but would try a different room.
And the WIFI was not working inside the room.
