Booked out the entire apartment for our wedding in rome and we all had a brilliant time. Fab rooms, wonderful location and attentive hosting. We have already booked a return trip, and intend to make City's House our base in Rome for our frequent trips to the eternal city. Thanks so much Daniela for making our wedding so special, the beautiful flowers you gave us on the wedding day were much appreciated. Looking forward to returning in December!

WARNING READ ME I arrived at City House with my teenage daughters, having booked this hotel in advance via ROMA.CLICK. I had booked a triple room with a private bathroom. On arrival you have to ring a door bell and speak through a intercom to get in. We then had to go up a narrow dark stairway . At the top there was a man waiting who couldnt speak English. He did not smile and looked like he had just had an argument. Eventually a woman arrived. I showed her our reservation papers. She took us to a room with no bathroom in it. I told her we only wanted a room with a private bathroom in it as per our booking. She replied no, there is no private bathroom, we have no private bathroom. I showed her the reservation and she said, well ok, but I cant help you, you can go now if you want, but we have no private bathroom. I stated that in the price on the internet it stated less for a room with a shared bathroom. We were hot and tired. The woman then said she wanted money "up front" and went on the tell us to how we should open and close the doors, in a quiet way. She then went on to say we only shared the bathroom with one other room and she would ask these people not to use the bathroom until after 9am. I found this very very odd, as what guest would accept only using the bathroom after 9am and she would make sure it was clean. It turned out to be French women next door. They hogged the bathroom and were in every morning, during our stay, they were filthy and left urine on the loo seat and hairs all over the bath and floor. It spoiled out holiday. Please, please, unless you are happy to pay for a private bathroom and get a shared one only with - Dont use this hotel. Ever. As a single mum with two young teenagers, who has travelled all over Europe I did not feel safe here or comfortable. I felt trapped. Yes you get what you pay for. But I was lied to about what I would get and there was nothing we could do about it, when we got there, as we were too tired to search elsewhere and only had a limited time to spend in Rome. Also never ever trust Roma .click as these are who we booked through.

The hotel has a great location. Conditions in the rooms are almost acceptable for short stays. Offered in Internet terms do not meet these into reality. Staff surprisingly incompetent and unhelpful. Can not rely on information from staff. They can ruin your vacation. Breakfast is terrible.

Strategically located with literally all the major sights in Rome and the Vatican within a 15 to 20 min walking distance. We were a party of five and stayed in the quadruple room with an extra cot andattached bathroom. All for 190Euros a night. Breakfast was good and the capuccino was amazing. Lots of trattorias, pizzerias and gelaterias in the immediate vicinity. Owner/manager spoke English and was very helpful. They arrange for taxi/minivan pick-up or drop-offs to airport. Very nice bathroom with no hot water issues at all. All in all, we were extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again.
