“As we stayed at home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

I stayed at this B&b with my family in a quadruple room very spacious and well furnished, there were also tables and chairs where you can eat comfortably. The B&B is a 3 bedroom apartment and the owners live there and so they are always available to guests. The reception was excellent, we were given a map and explanations on all transport and how to reach the main attractions of the city. The breakfast is self service in the room, a solution which we greatly appreciated so we were indipendent.
The structure was very clean and even the bathroom was.
The prices are really cheap, only small problem is the noise of the road that we solved with earplugs but then if you want an accommodation in the center is almost inevitable noise. We felt at home, we had the keys and could come and go as we wanted, we hope to have been of help to all those who decide to stay at this b&b.

“Very close to Vatican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2011

No hot water and no wifi. We flew into to Rome and only stayed there the first night. It was a good location to visit the Vatican and St Peter's (5 minutes away), right around the corner. The little cafe next store had excellent pizza for a great price. We had 4 slices and two sodas for 4.50 euro. The best value during our 10 days in Rome.

“Affordable, great vatican location, great for what you pay for”

This place got bad reviews, but I wanted to give it a chance because you can't beat that location, and honestly we weren't going to Rome to hang out in a 5 star hotel all day......some place to sleep and be safe at night was all we needed. We really liked it here, one review said the Rafael room with the 2 singles had bed bugs.....maybe they changed the mattresses but I know what to look for and the beds were perfectly clean as was the linen. It was safe at night, the hosts were friendly, and the location was right around the corner from the vatican. 2 comments - noise was mentioned, and certainly it is on a busy street. Honestly though, after hoofing it around Rome all day, we still slept through the car noise. Also, their web site shows a 'breakfast room'. Yah, not so. Don't expect much for breakfast, just some coffee / tea and biscuits which seemed the norm throughout Italy for us. At the end of it, if you need a good place to sleep, and want a fantastic price, this is the place.

“You get what you pay for”

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. Positives: Owners are very friendly. Cheap rates. Location is good. Close to busstop into centre of Rome.
Negatives: Room was not cleaned daily, even though we went out before eight o'clock in the morning. We had the room facing Via Aurelia, which is a very busy street even at night. So noisy that I hardly had any sleep at night. Worst of all - we had bedbugs!!

“Prison cell with shared bathroom between 6”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

Luckily we were only there for two nights.

The hotel was idealy located, 5 minute walk to the Vatican, but that was the only good point.

The room we stayed in, Raffaello, was like a prison cell. Cold, bare floors and hardly room to breathe. Incredibly loud, even with the window closed during the night. We had to share a bathroom with four other guests, so had to get up extra early to have a shower.

The breakfast is a carton of orange juice and a croissant in a packet. Provided on a tray in your room, so you have to eat it on your bed.

Good for maybe one night if you want something really cheap and don't mind a noisy, tiny room with a shared bathroom.

It should be called a hostel, NOT a B&B.
