“Great value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2011

A little bit out of the way but it wasn't a problem at all - the 170 bus comes regularly and takes you to Piazza Venezia where you can get to anywhere easily. We had the first room, which is usually two single beds but the owners were very helpful and made them into a double for us. The rooms are spacious, clean and really nicely decorated! Breakfast was served in our room and was definitely enough to fill us up at the start of the day. Sharing a bathroom wasn't a problem, there was only one occasion where we had to wait to use the shower, and it was always kept clean. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom. There was some noise from the road outside but it wasn't too bad, and I think some noise is to be expected wherever you stay at Rome - however, we were woken up a couple of times in the middle of the night by some other guests struggling with the key to the front door! Be careful with your plug converter, the plugs in our room were a slightly different type to those in the hallway, and my converter only fit the ones in the hall. Free wireless was great. Osteria Mavi is a lovely restaurant just a few minutes walk away (although we didn't have a good meal at Ristorante La Ruota). Gianluca, one of the owners, was really friendly and helpful both before and during our visit - he picked us up from Trastevere station when we arrived at 9pm on a Sunday, and once we'd settled in he spent some time explaining how to get to various places and writing down bus numbers on the map for us, which was really useful. Overall I think it was great value, and I'd definitely recommend it if you don't mind a 15 minute bus ride to the centre!

“Nice place to stay for your visit to Rome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2011

The room was very clean and had everything we needed during our short stay. Good beds. Nice breakfast with toast and marmelade, yogurt, fruit juice and coffee. There was always a basket with fruit on the table. Breakfast was served in the room.
We had a room sharing a bathroom. The day before we left two young girls shared the bathroom with us. Luckily this was just for one night! Long dark hair in the shower as well as in the washbasin.
Public transport is quite nearby on the mainroad. Tickets can be bought a few steps from the doorway close to the corner of Enrico Fermi. All things of interest are within easy reach by public transport.
There was a very good restaurant on number 71, Osteria Mavi.
Shuttle to and from the airport was well arranged by the owner; however we had to pay twice the price we agreed on. According to the owner a misunderstanding.

“Fantastic budget B&B”

We stayed for 3 nights at bed and breakfast interno 9. The accommodation is 20-30 minutes bus ride away from city centre. It was difficult to find at first and slightly too far in my opinion, but it is in a nice neighbourhood and the location is reasonable given the price. The room was spacious with sleek decor, which was a lot more than what I expected. Bathroom was sizeable and clean, though I did not like sharing with other people, it wasn't particularly annoying since we were only sharing with one other room. We had hearty breakfasts served in our room every morning, which usually kept us full until early afternoon. The hosts were lovely and services fantastic. The candy refills everyday were a nice touch. Rooms may be slightly noisy at night, but that is expected in this city, and I suspect the noise level is much better than accommodations in many other neighbourhoods. Would definitely recommend the place, probably one of the best B&Bs within its price range in Rome.

“Arriverdeci Interno 9!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2011

We stayed 6 nights at the Interno 9 in a room with shared bathroom. We're lucky, because we only have to share it for 1 night.
The room was very spacious, simple but with everything we need for a vacation. The first good impression was the warmth of the room (it felt good every night to come back from the cold outside) and the second was the cleanliness! The room and the bathroom were always impeccable! Thumbs up for that!

Gianluca, the owner, was very friendly, and he gave us a map of Rome with all the points of interest. Mrs. Carla, the lady that keeps everything running, was very sweet, and treated us like her own family! We loved her!
One morning, we complained at Mrs. Carla, that was a lady upstairs, that walks all night with her heels, every night (she doesn't sleep at all!!), and the next night she doesn't make any king of noise. We should had complained before! :)

The location, a residential neighborhood, was a bit noisy, but if we catch a bus (always passing by) it put us in the center of Rome in 10 minutes. So, it equals the scale.

At the end, Interno 9, was a great value for money and I would recommend it to all my friends.

“great value - location bit noisy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2010

For the price I am not sure this can be beaten in Rome. Room was spotlessly clean, large (we had the ensuite room) and nicely decorated. Great (and very helpful) welcome from the owners of this 'B and B' in an apartment block.
Breakfast was adequate if a bit uninspiring but they tried their very best (and provide you with proper Italian coffee) if you need. You could also use the fridge in the kitchen if needed..
As part of a very local Rome neighbourhood it was great to be able to go to 'local' restaurants and bars, and see a proper slice of Italian life. But the road - the apartment is off a busy thoroughfare - noise was pretty intrusive and it did take a while to get to town...
My partner and I were away on my 40th and though this was great value not sure if it was a special enough location for such a landmark event! Would definitely stay again though.
