My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a longer trip to Italy. We wanted somewhere in a good location and not too expensive, as we figured we wouldn't need a swanky room because we would be spending most of our time out of it sightseeing. The B&B was in a great location about 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum and the Forum; it was also about 10 minutes walk from a metro stop so it was also really easy to get to places like the Vatican and the Spanish Steps which are both on the same line. The room was small and pretty claustrophobic - the window looked out onto a sort of back courtyard so we were disturbed a bit by the the noisy air conditioning units of the other buildings, but we didn't have air con so we had to keep the shutters closed to keep the sun out and prevent the room getting too hot. However the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and we had everything we needed really. My only complaint would be that we were left entirely on our own - apart from when we arrived we didn't see a soul for our entire stay, not really what you expect of a B&B. For breakfast we had to take vouchers to a cafe round the corner where we were given a cup of rubbish coffee and a pastry. Not seeing anyone also meant we had no one at all to ask for help, advice etc with getting around, where to go, local information for the area and so on - but we did manage to figure it out for ourselves. Overall it's not the best place I've ever stayed, but given its location and the price we paid and the fact that we were hardly there anyway, I would say it's a good bet if you're on a budget.
If you do stay here though, you MUST eat at the Merulana Cafe next door - inexpensive and really great food with excellent quality ingredients.
