“Very very basic”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

the room was very very basic. No aircond in summer just makes the room very uncomfortable. also the rooms are proper small. and for your breakfast, you will have to walk to the a nearby cafe for a "bad breakfast".
the only plus for this place is the location which is like 10 min walk to the colisium. But please take note ROME is pretty small place and u probably could walk and see most of the attraction. so if you do find a better B&B go for it.

“Great location and nice place to stay in Rome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

Great location to walk to the main sights of Rome plus close to Metro and main train station. The room was very nice and well equipped with use of a coffee machine and small fridge. Lovely people and so helpful with map and directions. Only issues were no WIFI plus the breakfast would barely pass as one. You head around the corner to a small cafe for a coffee and stale croissant so not great really. Could do with changing this to make it better.

“Nothing special but great location and good for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a longer trip to Italy. We wanted somewhere in a good location and not too expensive, as we figured we wouldn't need a swanky room because we would be spending most of our time out of it sightseeing. The B&B was in a great location about 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum and the Forum; it was also about 10 minutes walk from a metro stop so it was also really easy to get to places like the Vatican and the Spanish Steps which are both on the same line. The room was small and pretty claustrophobic - the window looked out onto a sort of back courtyard so we were disturbed a bit by the the noisy air conditioning units of the other buildings, but we didn't have air con so we had to keep the shutters closed to keep the sun out and prevent the room getting too hot. However the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and we had everything we needed really. My only complaint would be that we were left entirely on our own - apart from when we arrived we didn't see a soul for our entire stay, not really what you expect of a B&B. For breakfast we had to take vouchers to a cafe round the corner where we were given a cup of rubbish coffee and a pastry. Not seeing anyone also meant we had no one at all to ask for help, advice etc with getting around, where to go, local information for the area and so on - but we did manage to figure it out for ourselves. Overall it's not the best place I've ever stayed, but given its location and the price we paid and the fact that we were hardly there anyway, I would say it's a good bet if you're on a budget.
If you do stay here though, you MUST eat at the Merulana Cafe next door - inexpensive and really great food with excellent quality ingredients.

“ok for a short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2011

The room was very clean and well furnished in towels. The owner that we only saw on our arrival was very pleasant and let us leave our luggage on the departure day.
A point that really need to be improved is the place where we get the breakfast included in the morning. It is the worst coffee place in the street, it is dirty and the viennoiseries tasted horrible and were always dry.

“A little gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2011

We would heartly recommend staying here to anyone staying in Rome on a budget. Georgia could not have been more helpful - so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and it was good to have the use of a kitchen to make drinks and snacks. So close to the main sights, we hardly used the metro, we found we were able to drink up la dolce vita walking through the streets.
We miss it already!
