I've been there last November and I found this B&B very charming thanks to the bright room and the design furniture . The location is amazing in the heart of Trastevere from where you can walk everywhere . The virtual concierge Costanza was very kind and helpful and wait for us since we had to call her from the airport . The breakfast just was a fresh croissant with free coffee and tea machine that you have at your disposal in the room , but if you don't mind about it you you could pass this matter.The room was well equipped with balcony , free internet wireless , minibar and sat TV .

Recently my partner and I returned to Rome, the city in which we fell in love. We booked this B & B/Hotel as it was in the heart of the Trastevere area which we both loved. Whilst the proprietor was a wonderful woman and it is because of her I have waited this long to write the review I feel I have to warn other travellers of what to expect.

We arrived to an apartment building on the main street, thankfully the steel gates were open as it was raining so we went inside and looked around - no obvious signs of where to go we went back outside and looked at the brass plaque. It had a phone number. Upon calling it we found the proprietor trying to convince us to go to lunch - with our luggage - as she was going to be some time. Insisting she come and let us in immediately, she arrived 30 minutes later (this was mid afternoon). Letting us in we found cleaners hurriedly cleaning the rooms.

She allocated our room - the smallest of all the rooms with the television tucked behind the bed. It was a very well decorated room and looked perfectly clean, however, the next morning I discovered that the sheets had not been changed - you just know! Then the sill of the door fell off . Breakfast was a couple of croissants which she delivered in the morning.

This was not a hotel or a B & B. It was a shared apartment. Each room had it's own showerroom. Having said this the proprietor was a perfectly charming Italian and pointed us to a fantastic restaurant (Augusto) in the area. So if you are looking for basic accommodation and are not fussed about breakfast then I would recommend this. However get the number before you leave and call her from the airport, oh and check the bed before you get in! Everything else was new and clean, although the shower was awful.

The room had a balcony overlooking the main street so people watching was good, it was central and easy to get to by bus and tram.
