Firstly the b&b is tricky to find. Simply, if you get the metro to San Giovanni there is two exits. If you exit onto via urbino, walk straight ahead and hopefully there will be a bar on your left and what looks to be a shopping complex with a few bars in. Turn left at the corner and walk to the crossroads. Turn right and walk ahead to the next crossroads, on that corner turn left which is via rimini - there should be a fruit shop on the corner too if it before 5 o clock.
If you exit the other exit of San Giovanni you will be on the opposite side of the road by the department store called 'Coin'. Cross over onto Via Urbino and face with your back to the metro steps.
We weren't provided with maps and we thought we would be. Or towels at first but when we asked Susanna she apologized and gave us some.
When we arrived Susanna greeted us in Italian. It is very important that you learn important phrases that you may need to communicate during your stay as Susanna doesn't speak English, or any other language except Italian. We communicated using gestures and sound effects! She is very lovely though.
The room was spacious and clean. The street is not too busy at night but there is always traffic that you can hear from the surrounding streets so we slept with our windows closed. It was very hot but we also had a fan in out room.
Breakfast was a basket of snacks such as croissants, shortcake biscotti, jams, butter, dry breads, yoghurts, tea or coffee, juice and chocolate tarts. We didn't go hungry and had leftovers.
This b and b is very close to a big department store called coin, a DIY shop across the road, a few pizzerias and bars and the basilica of St. John Lateran, which is very nice.
The shared bathroom is clean and a decent size. The only problem was the shower which seemed to change temperatures from hot to cold the few times I was in it.
When you arrive you are to pay Susanna so I would have the cash ready and make sure you know important words in Italian.
There is also 2 euro per person per night charge which she will try and explain in Italian.
Hope this helps you
