“brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2010

what a gem ,we were a party of 9 and we took all of the four bedrooms . Barbara who has this place organised our pickups at the airport and returns .barbara was there to greet us at you bed and to explain things .she booked our trip to vatican so we could jump the ques. be very wary of guides at vatican we got one and she gave us to much information to the state it got boring ,and said she just wanted a tip ,at the end of the tour she was stating a price which i may add she didnt get but it spoilt our day. You Bed has akitchen area and we had the use of coffee machine and soft drinks it felt like our haven after a long day. Its situated 10 mins from vatican and 15 mins from spanish steps and there are plenty of restaurants around this nice area.In the morning we awoke to a lovely breakfast made by Caty a lovely abliging lady it was so relaxing we had breakfast in our pyjamas a bit like home from home would give this the thumbs up.

“Perfect!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

We stayed here for a long weekend. It's spotlessly clean, and the room was large enough for the three of us and very comfortable. Youbed is on the 5th floor, there is a tiny lift which is great for taking up suitcases. Our room was overlooking the inner courtyard of the building so it was very quiet at night. They looked after us very well and were helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to see. There's a folder in the room with a street map of Rome and information on the sights. There's also toothbrushes, towels, hairdryer and showergel all provided. The aircon was very welcome too in the august heat. The position is perfect, one end of the street is the Vatican and the other end of the street is Castel Sant' Angelo. Plazza Navona is within walking distance. It's absolutely ideal and we all agreed we would definitely be coming back for more city breaks here!

“Friendly Staff, Delicious Breakfast & Quiet location”

My husband and I spent four nights at this charming B&B and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The rooms are spacious (for Rome) and the individual air conditioning units are appreciated. The hotel is on the 5th floor but there is a very small elevator (I mean telephone-booth sized) to help you get your luggage upstairs. It's a bit on the slow side so we really only used it for arrival & departure to transport our luggage.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming although I think we may have enjoyed more interactions with the staff than other guests because my husband speaks Italian. The Italian staff doesn't speak much English but they are very friendly.

There is free wifi (the password is written on a slip of paper on the bookshelf) although we lost the connection a few times. It wasn't really an issue for us since we spent little time on the internet but it may pose a problem for other travelers.

The hotel is located within walking distance to Castel Sant Angelo and St. Peter's square and basilica. The metro station is a bit further away and, if you're planning to arrive using the metro, I would recommend looking at the directions on google earth which were helpful. We used the metro quite a bit during our stay and found it was a good way to get around.

The breakfast spread in the morning is excellent. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit, Italian specialties (prosciutto), and cappuccinos (some of the best I had in Rome!).

We would definitely stay here again!

Grazie Barbara for a terrific stay!

“Nice B&B in great location”

The theme for this B&B (the rooms at least) is orange... from the bedspread to the bathroom tiles. Conveniently located within walking distance to Castel Sant Angelo and St Peter's square and basilica. Bus stop just across the road to take you to other main sights, metro station a bit further away, about 10-15mins walk.
The breakfast spread in the morning is excellent, and there is free internet. There are only 4 rooms in the B&B and the other rooms were all occupied when we were there.
The owners are very friendly (as are most Italians) and the lady who served us breakfast is also very nice.
There are free fruits, drinks available 24/7... a help yourself approach.

“The perfect place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2009

Eight of us traveled from Hawaii to Rome to see the sights and experience the culture. I found You Bed on the internet and based my decision to stay there on the location, price, and the ratings of other visitors. When we arrived by private taxi (arranged by You Bed), we were greeted on the sidewalk by one of the owners, Barbara. She is a very attractive Italian woman that spoke English very well. She took us up to the B & B and we were all amazed when she opened the front door...it was beautiful! Modern, tastefully decorated, clean and so spacious! There are 4 rooms all with a private bath. We took them all and had the entire place to ourselves. The bathrooms had everything you needed including toothbrushes! The breakfast kitchen area had 3 tables to sit at, and it was equipped with coffee machine, toaster, juicer, fresh fruit, snacks, bread, assorted drinks, dishes, utensils and glasses, everything we need to be at home. We often picked up a bottle of wine, take out dinner and ate at the B & B. It was nice to kick back and relax after a long touring day and enjoy each others company. The location is fabulous! Close to the bank, restaurants, shopping, bars, gelato, bus, metro and many sights. Every morning at 7:00am someone (Kati, Mariana, Fecerica) came to prepare breakfast for us. We awoke to an awesome breakfast spread on the table. They kept our rooms and the entire area spotless! The owners, Barbara, Cristina and Fabio came everyday to make sure everything was ok and to help us with our needs. They booked our Vatican tickets for us, they guided us to places and just helped us with anything we needed. The B & B is in a historic yet modern secured building in a very good neighborhood. There is a lift , fast free internet, books and maps on Rome for your use, stationary, electrical converters and TV. We recommend this place to everyone and it played a significant part in why our visit to Rome was so Fantastic!
