First off I'm not a picky person in the least so you can consider this an unbiased review... i'm also american so this is written from an american point of view. In Italy and Europe in general you will NOT find hotels like the ones in the US for the same price. The room was VERY small by American standards but no matter where you go you can't expect it to be as spacious as what you might be used to.
The reasons I chose this hotel were the location, the price, the private bathroom, and the free wi-fi. We got 2 for 2... read on...
The good things are: the neighborhood- cute, clean, safe... you are a couple blocks from a prestigious area of Rome which is good.
The breakfast was good... more was offered than the other b and b's had that we stayed in elsewhere in Rome. It is mostly packaged food so don't expect a hot, fresh spread. Remember this is Italy, not the Holiday Inn down town. Plenty of things to choose from including some basic salami and cheese, croissants, juice, milk (not usually refridgerated in Italy), cereal, and any form of coffee you like.
The room was clean, smelled nice, and fresh towels were brought in daily. The bed was made for us but the sheets were not changed. This is normal, however.
The bad things were that the shower leaked horribly. It literally flooded the whole bathroom so we had to stop the shower while we soaped ourselves, then turn it back on to rinse just to keep the floor semi-dry.
The wifi never worked despite two complaints to the managers. We were able to use the wifi connection in the hotel downstairs, though.
The managers are very nice and will answer any questions you have.
Upon leaving we had a problem w/ the credit card machine so have cash handy just in case. my husband had to RUN to an ATM to get cash so we wouldnt be late for our train.
Overall, good and bad. Wouldn't return because I think we could do better for the price. However for a place to stay at night, it was comfortable and clean.
