“Location great, room OK, bathroom not so great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

This very small hotel, only 4 rooms is in a good location near the main train station with restaurants nearby. The room was basic but OK with complimentary drinks, including wine and beer, in the fridge. Free Wi Fi and non smoking. The bathroom is where this hotel fell down. Mould all around the shower cubical, shower did not drain well, water pressure low and a very noisy pressure system that operated through a tank in the bathroom. Would not stay here again unless the bathroom was renovated.

“Great Little Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Just got back from our first (and won't be our last!) weekend in Rome where we stayed at the Roman Residence. Great little Hotel, exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms, free mini bar and a great filling breakfast at a nearby cafe ready to set you up for a days sightseeing! Hotel position is very handy too being so close to the Railway Station as well as within walking distance of the Colosseum and all the major sights (just take some comfortable shoes!). Massimo the owner could not do enough for us, helping find things on the map, storing our luggage after check out and allowing us to use his bathroom upon return to pick them up. The staff at the cafe for breakfast were also excellent and just seemed to keep bringing more pastries to our table (you won't go hungry!). Do not hesitate to book here - i'm sure you won't be disappointed!

“3rd time a charm...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

This was our 3rd stay at Roman Residence and it didn't disappoint. Still the same great staff, Massimo & Liesel. Room (#2) was clean and well-maintained. In-room fridge is stocked with free wine/beer/water. Location is perfect...5 minute level walk from Termini Station/Metro and 15 minutes to ancient Rome. Massimo let us use his laptop to do our airline check in and print our boarding passes. Roman Residence is our home away from home in beautiful Roma!

“What wonderfull customer service”

This was our second stay at the Roman Residence and we plan to stay there again. We had a near calamity as when we boarded our ship in Civitavecchia my wife discovered she had lost her Kindle. I tried to call Massimo from the ship but he could not hear me. When we got back to the states I emailed him my plight and got an immediate response, He had the Kindle as it had been found in the Breakfast bar down the street, it must have fallen out of my wifes purse. The owner there retured it to Massimo he needs kudo's too. Advised Massimo to use the credit card I used to pay for the room and he emailed back within the hour that it was on its way. It got here yesterday. He also stored our luggage when we went to Positano for a night during our time in Rome.

What else can I say the rooms are excetionally cleam the location 2 blocks from Terminni is wonderful and the customer service is a WOW.

“Brilliant trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Myself and my fiance stayed at Roman Residence in January 2011 for a long weekend exploring Rome. The location was excellent, two minutes from the Termini railway/Metro station and just a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum. Rooms were spotless, excellently furnished and comfortable. Massimo, the owner, was a wonderful host. He gave us some excellent tips on where to go and what to see, and was always happy to help. Mini bar was stocked every day with drinks and included in the price. Since there is nowhere within the hotel to serve breakfast, guests are given vouchers for a lovely little cafe down the street, where the friendly owners ensure you are well fed. Great way to start a busy day of sightseeing in this fascinating and beautiful city. Since we visited in January, the price was lower than you would pay in the peak summer season, so this was great for us. Thought not exactly a budget hotel price, we thought it was excellent considering the location and the prices many other hotels were charging to be so central. Thank you Massimo for making our first visit to Rome such a memorable one!
