I was to stay in Hotel Filippo Roma during my trip to Rome from 6-8 October 2011. The hotel was very far from the Roma Termini Station and we had to drag our luggages across several streets on Via Filippo Turati. This is very tiring, considering we just arrived at 9am in Rome from Munich on a night train. The signage for the hotel was very small and we had to ask some locals for directions. After going through the front door of what looks like an apartment for local residents, we had to go up two flights of stairs before reaching the door of the 'hotel'.
As the door was locked, we knocked on the door and rang the door bell for almost 10 min but still no one answered. We even tried calling the mobile number provided below the bell but no one answered that as well. In the end, we had NO CHOICE but to forfeit one night of our booking and look for another hotel instead. Beware of how this hotel scams its customers and never book it especially if you are arriving in the mornings.
