“just the perfect place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

we had a weekend in rome without our young children.. we like nice rooms but dont like been waited on or large impersonal hotels. Crossing is perfect..it has just 5 rooms and a kitchen which has coffee, tea and a fridge full of water, soft drinks and beer. you can just help yourself.. there is a kettle and tea making in the room too. bathroom was lovely too. the best thing about this "hotel" is the location and the staff. we arrived by train and metro from the airport and you come out of the metro at the foot at the spanish steps.. good start. the hotel is a couple of minutes round the corner. we didnt use public transport again until we left to go back to the airport. you can walk everywhere easily. Francesco and Marco are both amasing.. so friendly and with so much information on places to see and places to eat and according to Marco where to get the best coffee in Rome.. maybe in Italy! he also recommeded great restaurants with characterful staff which was exactly what we were after. a fab stay and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone I know going to rome.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are lovely. .the website tells you which ones have baths and which just have s...

“Tranquil haven in a perfect location”

The hotel is amazingly quiet, especially as it is so perfectly located, within easy walking distance of all major sights. Francesco was extremely kind and helpful, giving us guidance on choice of restaurants and helping us with bookings. There are many excellent eating places nearby. We highly recommend this hotel.

“Home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Crossing condotti was the icing on the cake of a fantastic pre Christmas escape to Rome, it is so hard to find an ideal place to rest your head and difficult to trust all that you read on websites but crossing lived up to all that it claimed. Clean, sophisticated and unpretentious, it is the perfect antidote to snooty hotels. The location is fantastic with all the sights in good walking distance. The staff were friendly yet not over familiar, helpful but not pushy, all in all the ideal place to stay in a fantastic city.

Room Tip: All rooms looked great.

“Home in the heart of Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

I had a very enjoyable stay. The very positive factors were that you were in the heart of Rome and could easily walk to the major sights. This is prime shopping with jewelers and fashion designers across the steer and next door. On a tour it was even mentioned that Crossing Condotti was the premier shopping. Think Hermes, Dior, etc... It was like living in Rome for your stay. I was concerned as this was a B and B about help with arrangements but there was someone on sight everyday to book arrangements and give advice about locations and restaurants as well as to make reservations. The rooms were spotless and spacious as well as quiet. There are only a few drawbacks. The first is only if you have a problem with climbing stairs even though this a first floor you have to climb a flight and a half of stairs. You do not have to carry your luggage up and Francesco would not even allow us to help him put it in the rooms. As far as no breakfast as I have in other reviews this is true. There are cakes, cookies and pies. I do have to say that a well stocked fridge with orange juice, sodas, beer, water. As well as espresso and tea that was unlimited was actually more advantageous, This is a B and B so no pool or other spa amenities. Also there is Sky TV in English in the rooms and free Internet.

What a wonderful place this is. Very Italian, lovely location and so cosy we didn't want to come home. The clealiness, comfort and friendly atmosphere were amongst the best we have ever experienced. Thank You.

Room Tip: All 5 rooms are slightly different. We stayed in the Condotti Room and intend to try each room each...
