“Perfect location, modern feel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We stayed in the Armada suite for 9 nights. Great windows, spacious, clean and safe. We simply loved the idea that we had our own key to this small appartment building. Made us feel at home. The street is busy enough and we felt very safe in this neibourghood. We are used to traveling so did not need the help of a concierge. Julio was very kind and helpful. The pre-aranged transportation was such a great idea. All went well. The only small drawback (as no hotel stay is ever 100% perfect) is that it can be a bit noisy in the morning as the windows are not completely soundproof and the rooms face the street. But again, if you are staying in the central part of any big city this is a very common thing. The hotel is so inexpensive and has tons of advantages. Incredible value! Bathroom and closets were great, especially for European standards. Again, we can't emphasize enough the incredible location; we would strongly recommend it!

“Perfect location..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We stayed there for 3 nights. The location is perfect since it is very close to the Spanish Steps (5 minutes walk), Piazza del Popolo (2-3 minutes walk) and generally to the main area of Rome’s historic centre.

The suite was quite spacious, very clean with a great modern décor and a nice shower. You feel that you are staying in your own apartment and not in a hotel. Great value for money!!

The staff is very friendly. Even if the hotel reception and house keeping are part time employees, they are always available if any assistance is needed. One night there was an electricity problem and even if we had to wait for a couple of hours to be fixed (since the person in charge was a little far away) the staff was very warm and helpful.

We enjoyed the complimentary Nespresso machine that you could use at any time in the corridor together with cakes and chocolates….so nice!!

A taxi service is provided at a logical price which is very convenient especially if you are traveling very early in the morning.

We would definitely stay again…

“Rome Prior to Cruise”

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the accommodations offered at Romeo al Babuino. Being our first trip to Rome, we did not want to pay a lot to see an overpriced hotel; we wanted to see Rome! This was the perfect place. Located in the heart of Rome in a "boutique" section between the famous Spanish Steps and the Piazza del Popolo, this bed and breakfast is walking distance, or a short cab ride to all the major attractions. As far as the physical accommodations, my wife said that she chose the smallest room, and it turned out to be a large suite! It was very clean, comfortable, and modern in both decor and functionality. It's best features were it's extremely high ceilings, beautiful casement windows, comfortable seating area with HD tv, and a very modern bathroom! It's funny, but probably the best feature of this place was Giulio-- we figured he was the owner-- who was the sweetest, most helpful man! He was waiting to greet us when we first arrived, explained everything we needed to know, was available for any questions, advise or arrangements; and he was there to see us off several days later. By the way, my other favorite feature was the free espresso machine in the hallway. I must also mention that this is not like the typical American bed and breakfast; it is very respectful toward privacy, and we rarely saw or heard any others except for the very nice housekeeping lady.

“Lovely spot for honeymooners!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

My husband and I (still getting used to saying that) just came back from Italy on our honeymoon. We stayed at the Romeo al Babuino and were just thrilled with the location and how accomadating everyone was to us. After we told them it was our honeymoon, they gave us a little bottle of bubbly to celebrate.

Before we left the states, we arranged an early check in to our room which is worth the money (very small fee of 25 Euros) and a private car through the hotel to take us from the airport right to the front door of the apartment. Also about 40 Euros and totally worth it.

The decor is modern and very clean. We stayed in the Monica Suite and it was spacious with plenty of closet space. There is a safe, a mini-fridge, all the cookware that you need, and stovetop. Right next door is the little lounge with an expresso maker, little cookies and books you can read on Italy.

The bathroom had a rain shower, though it was too small for moving around in but did the trick after walking around Rome all day.

The location of this apartment could not be any better. At one end of the street are the Spanish Steps and at the other end is the Piazza Poppolo. This street was even featured on House Hounter International!!!

Loved this place and would stay here again on our next visit to Italy.

Room Tip: The Monica Suite is big with a kitchenette.

“Excellent place and location complemented with excellent service from staff.”

Just returned from a 3 nights stay at Inn Romeo and what an amazing experience we had! The suite is located in an excellent location with many shops and restaurants close by. In addition, it is also close to the Spanish steps and also within waking distance to two metro stations. The rooms are very nice and clean and there is excellent service from staff at the suite, especially Giulio! We really appreciate the responsiveness of him and all the help he has rendered. When we return to Rome next time, we will definitely return and stay at Inn Romeo. Well done and keep up the good work!
