Don't count on hot water. I shared a bathroom so I had to wait two hours for hot water and even then it only lasted for a minute. No place to put your toiletries in the bathroom. No shelves in the shower so a bathroom cubby for each room would be nice.

Yes, you have to walk up two and half flights of steps to get to the elevator but I expected that. NO wifi in room as indicated. There was wifi in their bar but the hours were very limited and inconvenient. Basically I could only get on early in the morning before we started our day by the time we returned they were always closed!

Breakfast was slim even when compared to other BB. You get a drink from the bar and roll or croissant. That's it. The staff wasn't available except for mornings and we didn't get any useful advice as far as local restaurants recommendations.

That said it was great location. Walking distance from termini (10 minutes), metro (5 minutes), and coliseum (10 minutes). There also a market down the block for any essentials. I don't think it was the best value for the money.

The owners of the B&B weren’t very friendly and rude at times. The internet service wasn’t working at all and they would give us a new excuse every day for the lack of service. When we got there, the bathroom wasn’t clean. There were items left from previous guest.
That being said, it’s affordable, well located and easily accessible by subway or by bus. But for the same price, we had better service and accommodation in other B&B throughout Italy.

A friend and I were visiting Rome for the first time and a booked a room at Casa Cleo. Overall, it was clean, affordable, the room was very nice, and I thought it was in a good location. If it is your first visit to Rome and feel as though you might need some help on places to go, how to get there, dinner recommendations, etc... then this place might not be the right choice as we hardly saw the owners of the B&B during our stay. If you already know your way around and/or don't think you will need much help, then this place is great.

If in Rome, go for this one if you are looking for excellent location. Colosseum being around the corner in 5 minutes easy walk, it makes this place a perfect one. It has got its share of cons though.
if you are told by the owners breakfast is served 8-10, dont expect to find anyone to serve it before 8:30. If you are looking for 3 beds, count on the third one would be a very difficult to sleep on being old and worn out. If you think of breakfast being someting more than a coffee and a single croissant, forget it. The wireless costs you more thn usual around there but these are just small things. But anyway, you could find much worse places around there in Rome.
