My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful hotel. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time there (including time for what I imagine would have been a delicious breakfast). Everything exceeded our expectations. The room, the grounds, and the public areas were all in the most beautiful taste. We were a little skeptical when the owner suggested a restaurant behind a car wash for dinner, but we loved it -- a genuine neighborhood osteria. The inn is very convenient for getting to the airport as well as Ostia Antica and other places outside of central Rome.

We chose the Relais due to it's proximity to Rome and Ostia without having to drive in the city. We were pleasantly surprised with the beautifully appointed room. The service was wonderful, we truly felt as though we were welcomed into someone's home, without feeling intruded upon. Enrica and Massimo obviously put thier hearts into making their guests feel comfortable and welcome. They went out of their way to help us make some changes to the rest of our itinerary, giving us some local advice that we would not have easily found elsewhere.

Though we were late in the season for the pool, the grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was extensive and delicious, and the nearby Trattoria that was recommended for dinner was a gem, and within walking distance.

I' ve stayed at Relais 19 in Feb. 2008

I was expecting a normal pleasant ' bed and breakfast ' , considering the price and how Relais 19 is categorized.


Instead I found myself in an amazing villa, with garden and swimming pool.
The room was modern in an elegant italian style, with a home feeling touch.
the bathroom was a luxurious experience.
The morning breakfast was carefully prepared and presented with abundant selection, and incredible taste for the palate.

Although the hotel is located a tad outside the city . the transportation was very accessible, easy, not chaotic , reasonably timed, and very pleasant .

The service at Relais 19 is impeccable. Very detail oriented and personalized.
There are not many rooms in the Hotel so one can expect a quiet , blessed, and incredibly unexpected experience .

I have spent so much more money in the past in high end hotels.
Relais 19 offers a luxuriously different, and unique experience.
I recommend it !
