First things first. This is cheap accomodation for central Rome, and we definately did not expect much for the price. However, we were a little disappointed with it.
The good : The staff were very pleasant and very helpful, although we only saw one persone when we checked in. The location is perfect! The metro station was a two minute walk down the street, which was connected to the main lines for all the major attractions. we bought a 3 day unlimited ticket for the metro for our stay of 3 nights. This was a really good deal for about 10 Euros, as we used it alot!
The bad: well as i say i cant complain much for the price! butttt...
the beds were hard and the pillows were hard! We didn't get a very good night sleep each night
the room was extremely basic, it felt very out dated, but the decor is not a bother if you are only there to sleep. which we were.
the bathrooms were quite bad, the showers did not work very well, the shower doors were falling off and it was unfortunately not 100% clean
there was no air con!! And in july the heat was extreme and hard to deal with at night time.
last of all the breakfast! Oh this makes me laugh.. we were handed a breakfast voucher for each of us for each morning of our trip, and told where we could find the breakfast in the morning. We found the small cafe just next to the outside door of the B&B, and we were soo disappointed to find out that our option of breakfast was A SINGLE croissant and a drink. and theywere small croissants at that! This was amusing and laughable that they can call this a B&B, hence the title, BED AND CROISSANT :)
If you are their to sleep after a long day sightseeing, its fine. expect the worst and you might be impressed.
