Ok, I did not stay here, but the staff are soo friendly. I stayed at the B&B below this place (in the same building that did not have a reception office). This people have taken me in and kept me in company until I waited for my room keys to arrive (since I arrived late to my B&B and they have left to return home).
I forgotten the name of the person who was at the reception at night, Georgia or something. He is one of the nicest English speaking Italian I have met thought out my Italy trip. Just because of his hospitality, I would book this place for my next trip. Plus, from the outside it looks very modern. And that receptionist told me how wonderful the rooms were.
I understand that that reception is only on a temporary role. The boss of AT Residence should really consider making him full time. He is just so genuine.
Yes, there are a lot of stairs to claim, but it is at the heart of Rome. You can practically walk to the Colosseum (about 20 mins walk if you know the directions)... and about 15 mins walk to Trevi Fountain... and it is just a few steps away from the train station..
I know that I didnt stay here, but I saw guess living that that where very happy and were warmly welcomed by the receptionist (I stayed in the same building from 2/Dec to 5 Dec).
I would be bold to recommend this place to young travellers who wants to stay at the heart of Rome.
