Lovely hotel which makes the most of this charming island. In a quiet spot with lovely views but within walking distance from the harbour restaurants or the port. Definitely the best place to stay on the island. Our room was number 23 and overlooked the garden - very nice, quiet, gorgeous massive bath. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The garden is relaxing but I suggest strongly that the hotel invest in some cushions for the wooden loungers.
Procida itself is like stepping back in time (except for the prices...). I cannot unfortunately write this review without leaving some advice - please please people of Procida, you have the most lovely island but the beaches are covered in litter! Dumps of litter everywhere which really made it impossible to enjoy the view and the sea. If you are expecting to lounge on lovely beaches then Procida I am afraid really does need to get it;s act together.

This is the most wonderful place to stay. I loved the style of the hotel, the subtle decoration in very good taste, the magnificent views over the Bay of Naples, the wonderful garden and vineyard, the fact that the French windows in my room opened up to this paradise every morning -- the fact that I could hear nothing other than the song of the birds, feel the gentle breeze of the sea, and smell the scent of wonderful flowers all around as I ate my breakfast in the garden or just relaxed with a coffee to read my papers. The owner and staff are quite simply the smartest, all highly intelligent, with brilliant tips about the place and its history, kind and caring with that beautiful Procidan smile -- to such an extent that you feel you have known them all your life. The photos in their web site does not do La Vigna justice; it is far more beautiful than these photos show. The breakfast is brilliant, all fresh fruit juices, good quality cereals, wonderful charcuterie, delicious cakes, yogurts and fruit-salad, great coffee and wonderful fresh bread. The long menu of massage and well being suggestions are great. I tried a wine massage and felt relaxed and silky, and it was very reasonable. Procida itself is to me like a jewel in the crown of the magic province of Naples. It's cliff top 16th Century Castello gives you a breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples, it has attractive narrow streets, wonderful architecture, uncrowded beaches, and beautiful lemon and orange tree gardens. Being a fishing village all the fish and sea food is fresh and food just tastes delicious since everything is made just locally in this small island. It is far superior to Capri and Sorrento where you get lots of tourists and high street shops. And the people are very special too, gentle and helpful, I loved it and recommend it most highly.

Could Procida exist without the Hotel La Vigna and its staff as well as dedicated family owner Enzo? I doubt it. They were absolutely charming and it is very rare to encounter such a warm welcome.
What else could I add to the reviews that are already so positive on La Vigna?
Not much except that indeed the breakfast is a feast, the home made marmalade and pastries exquisite and in the evening you may also want to enjoy the house wine or grappa on the terrace. The people where-ever we went (restaurants, taxis, locals…) have been more than friendly and the food is first class.
Procida is not a ‘tourist island’ and you have to accept the too narrow streets. Do not take your car there and if you park in Naples make sure it is a recommended parking.

We stayed at this small but lovely hotel for a weekend. They pay attention to detail. The room was a loft style which my kids enjoyed. The rooms are spotless and quiet.
There is a beautiful little vineyard on the property with a breath taking view of the sea. You can sit under the grape vines and relax in total serenity. The breakfast was simple but delicious. The cakes are homemade. I had a lemon almond cake that was heavenly!
The hotel is close enought o walk to the port. I would also recommend Fammi' Vent restaurant. Delicious fresh food! Or you can easily walk over to the other side as well from this hotel. If staying in Procida I would definitely recomend this hotel.
