The owner will give discount the more that you pay cash in advance, so flash your cash and negotiate a discount!! Pick a room not facing the main road or the italian mad horn blowers will keep you up all night. Your room will be cleaned daily which is good, the owners know how to greet and say good by in english but thats it. Do not ask for advice as you will get non capite!
Hotels open til midnight, thereafter its the doorbell. In prime location next to centrale (train station) if you expect what you pay for and nothing more, then you won't be dissapointed. And remember, italians do not have a clue about customer service, not a clue. This is the norm throughout the country and hotel speranza is no exception. Oh and the rooms are equipped with fans, which, if you are visiting in summer you will find are much appreciated as air conditioning has not been invested in! Forza Italia!!!
