Excellently refurbished hotel and not difficult to find from the Central railway station. However the cockleshell thin walls enabled us to hear every movement (literally) from the adjoining rooms. and like most european hotels they have not cottoned on to the idea that large numbers of travellers would like to make themselves a tea or coffee in their rooms.

Stayed at the Garden Hotel in Naples for two night. It is a very basic, no frills hotel. Nevertheless the room was quite spacious and perfectly adequate given the price. The big plus for the hotel is that it is very close to the main train station which makes for an easy base for trips to Pompeii or elsewhere. The big downside of this location is that this area is quite dodgy and particularly at night felt quite uncomfortable walking around.

On the other hand, the hotel is not too far from the most famous pizzeria in Naples - Da Michele Pizzeria.

This hotel is barebones, but the location is good and the staff we encountered were courteous and friendly. It's close to the station. There is a great bakery and shopping nearby. The rooms are nothing to rave about, but they are spacious for the price. The included brekfast was very nice, too. I would definitely stay here again. If you are just looking for a room to sleep in, this hotel fits the bill.

If I ever went back to Naples, I would use this hotel again. Thing is, I'll never go back to Naples. I was only there for 1 day and spent the whole time looking over my shoulder waiting for the mugging. It is a dangerous city and you have to be on the lookout at all times. The hotel was nice and clean. Nice balcony with a view of the volcano. Friendly reception. So I'd say the hotel was good value for money but if you have a choice of going to Naples or somewhere else, I'd take the somewhere else!
