I went in September as an independent traveller with other independent travellers. It was a lovely holiday and generally the staff could not do enough. The main pool was extremely large and generally empty. There were plenty of sunbeds, in the shade and out. The chambermaids were excellent and the rooms were incredibly well cleaned and looked after. The bar staff were lovely though sometimes more interested in the football than serving. Who can blame them. The restaurant was well run with above average, though not incredible, food. Better when we persuaded them that the plates had to be hot. They thought this very eccentric but did as we asked. They do want you to wear a hat in the pool but apparently this is common in Italy. It was a short walk down to the main town for the evening excitement. Though taxis in Italy seem very expensive, compared to Birmingham. The spa was lovely and the prices equivalent to the same treatments in UK. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

We were in September 2011 at the Hotel for 2 weeks. The front desk staff were not helpful and do not adopt a customer friendly mode. We had a room away from the main building and near the tennis courts. To our surprise and annoyance the large dining area behind our room was utilised for some 5 evenings for private parties, guests attending conferences and a wedding. In most of these events there was live loud music which went until midnight and in 1 case until 1.00 in the morning. The music at the wedding was so loud that the windows rattled in the room and it was impossible to stay indoors. When we complained at reception the response was that you have a basic rate room and one should not complain about a little music!
In contrast the dining room head and staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service.
The safe did not work and despite 2 complaints no outside technician was sent to repair it.
To be fair the hotel proposed to provide a new room but as you can imagine it is cumbersome to pack and unpack your belongings once you have settled in.

I visited this hotel as part of a group and I must say that it has put me off visiting Italy ever again; the reception staff was so unfriendly. Yes if you were Italian no problem you received the warmest welcome. I found the whole experience very traumatic indeed; the management were aggressive and dictatorial to say the least!! I have travelled all over the world and this was the most unfriendly place I have ever been too!!

An example to illustrate my point was when I required some assistance from the reception staff; I could wait there and be ignored for some time while fellow Italian quests were assisted before me they just let them push in!! I was shoved to the back of the queue as if I was invisible!! I felt like a second class citizen.

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star the facilities are adequate, but restaurant was more like a MacDonald’s never seen so much chaos the waiters running around like head less chickens in total chaos. The food was poor and so little off it and you must never ask 'for more' because you will not get it, I do not eat breakfast so took out a roll to eat and was severely reprimanded by management!! Is there a war on and rationing the order of the day?? You got little choice and the salad buffet was the same every night boring or what and never saw much in the fruit line guess too expensive to serve up to guests…run on a shoe string I think!!

I felt sorry for the bar/restaurant staff and maids whom I must say were lovely they worked like beavers non stop a credit to the hotel and should be rewarded as such so well done to them. Thumbs down to reception/management……….word of advice for the management please do not encourage British holiday makers to stay at your establishment, until you have developed more respect for them after all we come to you so a pleasurable holiday not a jaunt in a concentration camp!!

If you really want to feel like you're on holiday, this is a lovely place to stay on Ischia. The hotel rambles among beautiful gardens and several very nice swimming pools, with lots of sun lounges in both shade and sun, as well as inviting sitting and eating areas, spa and beauty treatment areas. Our room was not large, but was charming and had everything we needed, and comfortable beds. We also had a very private balcony we could sit out on, overlooking a garden. Free wireless Internet in public areas (and lots od comfy sitting areas to use it) worked well. Buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and good coffee. We found the staff to be helpful and efficient, but not intrusive - definitely not rude as suggested by some others. As for the swimming pool rules, these were not anything unreasonable, just things that promote safety and a pleasant and peaceful experience for everyone using the pools.
We would definitely stay here again!
