We arrived in Capri by hydrofoil after spending the day before in Naples. We were met on the dock by a representative from the hotel and left our bags for delivery. He explained to us to to find the hotel. FYI best to pay attention! We proceeded to the funicular to ascend to the top of the hill. This was our first time in Capri and it was magical to walk into the piazzetta. There are many high end shops and cafes as well and narrow alleys and arched entrances. It was beautiful. After a few minutes we found the entrance to the alley that led to the Marriott. We followed the path a short walk up a small hill and found the hotel on the left. I was happy with the location and the view from the from of the hotel. We were offered a sparkling wine or water and the check in was easy and pleasant.
We had reserved a room with a view of the Bay of Naples and it was amazing! The room had a beautiful lanai and was clean and comfortable. We changed and went to the pool to relax and have some lunch. We ate at the hotel and it was very good for the location not too expensive. We had dinner the next night at the hotel and the special prix fixe meal was very good and not too expensive for the quality. The evening before we had eaten at another place and it was more expensive and I thought not as good. The manager of the restaurant was very personable and made the evening memorable. Overall it is a beautiful facility and I would highly recommend this hotel.

We spent our Honeymoon last October at the JW and it was marvelous. Capri is a fantastic place, and the JW fits like a glove. I recommend having the hotel take your bags from the boat, for a cab will set you back 20 euro and you will still have to walk 10 minutes to find the hotel. The rooms are not huge, but typical of Europe, they are simple and elegant. Our patio was amazing, providing great views of the island and the ocean.

The pool is perfect. Once you get the jets all going it is the perfect finish after a day of exploring the island. Unlike any pool I have been in before.

Overall, as a traveller who spends 125+nights a year in hotels, this is one of my TOP 3! Amazing honeymoon. Great service, great food, great location, and just GREAT.

My husband and I stayed here on May 25th to the 27th. The hotel is very cleaned and very nice. Being the hotels are much smaller than the US, this one was more on the larger side. The staff was very nice and very accomodable. It is near the main area- just a short distance. I would definitely recommend staying here!

My wife and I stayed on Capri after being in Venice, Florence and Rome. Capri is on one of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen. Based upon reviews from trip advisor, we arranged for the hotel to pick up our bags from the ferry. This is a must and is well worth the 10 euros per bag. I am a Marriot Silver Elite member, but used American Express points for the stay. American Express apparently used Travelocity for the booking. I am not sure if it was for this reason or if it is because we arrived on a Saturday, but we were given a room in the back of the hotel which was called a "Garden View". We basically were looking at someone's backyard with a couple of trees. The bathroom was so small that I could barely walk in it. There was not one shelf or space to put even a toothbrush. The shower was so small and was in the corner with a curtain on both sides. The only way to take a shower without flooding the floor with an inch of water was to get wet and turn the water off to lather up. Since we were there for only two days, I did not make an issue out of it, but I would not stay at this hotel unless I was on the front side with a water view. We looked in an open door and the rooms were much bigger. The buffet breakfast was very good. We order an iced tea at the pool, which was literally a small glass of nestea and were charged 7 euro, which is about $10.00. With the exception of breakfast, and the one drink, all of our drinking and eating were outside of the hotel.

We were lucky enough to be able to redeem points for this stay – it was the penultimate day/stop of our Honeymoon and what a treat it turned out to be.

We arrived at the hotel following the hassle factor of staying on Capri; the ferry, the funicular [read: Zoo] and stomping through the narrow alleyways en-route to the property.

We stepped through the electric, glass doors and were met by cool A/C and equally cool staff – but in a good way. We’d arrived in heaven.

Check-in was faultless; we were upgraded to a Junior Suite (having expected a room-from-hell as using points) and were excited to see what we’d got.

Junior Suite 201
A beautiful room with a sitting area, luxuriously appointed bathroom (with water pressure that could leave an indent on your skin!). Absolutely beautiful. We also had a massive terrace overlooking the bay – larger than the lounge of my apartment in London! This I can confirm is the best ever room we have stayed in – nothing could have improved our stay (except perhaps another night free…)

The pool – although on the small side for a hotel of this size proved more than adequate for the Rolex-wearing crowd. Nice.

Dinner
The fixed price (59E PP) dinner in the restaurant proved to be very good value – however, the water came in at 10 Euros per bottle! EEK!
Our charming waitress “Rita” provided excellent service; with a smile.

Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY.
