This beautiful gem was a delightful experience in Capri. From the colorful painted tile floors, to the balcony with motorized striped canopy, to the very friendly staff, I loved everything about the Regina Cristina. Perfect location on a perfect island filled with lemons and flowers, a perfect place to fall in love with Italy. Walk right out of the hotel and stroll the picturesque town with shops, bars, restaurants and gardens. Sit in a sidewalk cafe and have a gelato or a Limoncello and watch the beautiful people!

While I must agree that the location is perfect for Capri, unlike others, our room was not even close to any of the pictures or descriptions. Our bathroom was not clean; the water in the sink did not work; our view was an alley, and the size was more like a large walk-in closet. We did hear from others on our group of their "beautiful" views, so I guess we just got the "luck" of the draw. The location was the very best part of this place but they need to be more realistic on their home page with pictures and descriptions. I would have placed it no higher than a 2 1/2 star to be honest.

It is charming and quaint but needs a bit of updating. Not a bad location at all but didn't have much hot water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had laundry done and it was nice but a bit expensive.

The location is perfect...close to the piazzetta, shopping, and restaurants. That is the most positive thing we can say. We were terribly dissappointed with the lack of customer service. At check-in, the front desk clerk failed to inform us of any of the amenities of the hotel such as the arrangement with a sister property for the use of the sister property's pool, breakfast times, etc. The afternoon clerk never greeted us as we left our key or retrieved it. On 2 occasions, he left us standing at the desk while he talked on the telephone. The night clerk was the only one with any personality. The breakfast was skimpy, however, the waiters were pleasant. We enjoyed a nice view from our balcony, but were not pleased with the dingy bathroom. This was the most expensive hotel on our 2 week tour of Italy, yet it was the worst experience all around.
