My friends and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel was definately located perfectly and centrally. It was a few paces from all the great shops, cafes and piazza. The staff were helpful and the owner, Tonnino, was always there readily willing to give recommendations of where to go to eat. My only complaint is that the mattresses were thin and uncomfortable although this seems to be a pretty constant issue with Italian hotels and residences.

the location of this hotel is fabulous.Less than a minutes walk to the main square of capri and right in the heart of the pedestrian zone ! i loved the hotel as we had a 2 bed suite ( we were 4 adults and 1 child age 11 ) which was huge and very comfortable. it consisted of 2 double bedrooms plus 2 full bathrooms ( 1 of which was huge ) , a spacious living area and, above all, a private terrace/balcony to sit outdoors and enjoy some wine or coffee ! i have to say that the look and feel of the hotel was a bit dated and you could feel its age, but, that did not affect our stay there. the owner, mr tonini, came out at breakfast time to recount stories of yesteryears and mingle with the hotel guests which to me added a personal touch and was very charming. the reception staff were helpful and responsive to our queries and needs. if you are a family or larger group, i strongly suggest you book and stay in the 2 bed suite here in gatto bianco !!

The hotel is so squiky clean is unbelievable, the location is great and definetively there is value if you compare it to other hotels in Capri. The breakfast was quite a dissapointment compared to our hotels in Naples and Rome. The problem with this hotel is that the atmosphere is not great and you feel totally disconnected to the place.
Having said that the hotel is not a bad stay by any means and the owner is on top of his hotel.

I have stayed at the Gatto Bianco twice now and enjoyed it both times. On both occasions we had a small room with a balcony overlooking the town. To the right you can see the sea and one of the Faraglioni rocks. I must say, the tiled floors throughout the hotel are absolutely beautiful.

The rooms are quite well appointed with plenty of storage space. The beds are very comfortable. There is a safe and a minibar, but I did not make use of these. The maid services the room in the morning and turns down the bed and refreshes the towels (if necessary) in the evening. Breakfast was tasty, with a wide selection of cereals, breads, yoghurt, fruits, etc.

All in all a very nice hotel in a perfect location. Highly recommended. In fact I look forward to going back myself.
