We were pleasantly surprised with how happy we were with our three night stay here. On arrival staff were very friendly and gave us an upgrade to 3rd floor room that was larger than our expected standard double. This was much appreciated after an extremely rough ferry ride from sorrento!! (we travelled on 19th sept, but the days around this date were much calmer but nervous sailers should be warned if you sail on a rough day). The room overlooked the pool - #70 but didn't get direct sun/ ocean views. Room was non smoking and smelt clean and fresh. Housekeeping staff were really lovely also, though they did forget to give fresh towels one day and did not top up the toilet paper for the entire stay. The pool is lovely, plenty of sunbeds and the water is clean and a refreshing temp. Breakfast was great value, with a good range of breads/jams/pastries a few cereals, lots of herbal teas, eggs/meats/yoghurt. A greater range of fresh fruit would have been a good addition. The location was great, very central making it exceptional value considering capri is an expensive.during our stay, we ate at mister billys, zodiac (down at marina grand) and Donna rachele- all were very good and not too expensive the latter two were particularly good. Unfortunately at this time of the year the island is quiet at night as the day trippers leave, so lacks a little atmosphere.
Hotel staff were attentive, though the hotel did appear to be relatively quiet overall. bed was very comfy.rooms were relatively noise proof. Staff were generous and gave us a tea cup and jug so that we could make our own tea in the room with our portable kettle. They also gave us a knife and tray by the pool to cut our own fruit- note buy it at the marina near the funicular, I had trouble finding a fresh fruit shop once up the hill.
Would definitely stay here again.
