We were arriving late, so we notified the staff and they asked that we call them when we got there. We had a bit of an issue finding the place - we called from the train station and were given directions, which we didn't follow appropriately. We called again and were told 'stay where you are - I'll find you!'. A few minutes later, our knight arrived on bicycle, led us to our destination and got us settled.
The room was spacious, with a nice view of a garden next door. The breakfast area is lovely, outside under the lemon trees. Very enjoyable, and the breakfast itself was lovely.
The only issue we had was that we couldn't connect to the internet and nobody was around to help us. But, Marianna told us that we could use the computer in the office, so when we needed to get online, we did that, and it was fine.
A nice stay in a beautiful place.

Casa Dominova has a great location in Sorrento right off one of the pedestrian only alleyways/"roads." Easy 10 minute walk from train station. Breakfast is simple bread, juice, coffee but still very nice, especially in their cute little courtyard area. Rooms are spacious and bright. Walls are thin, but we found this to be the case in every place we stayed in Italy on a 2 week trip. Staff is very friendly. They let us store our bags on the day of checkout which was great. Overall great experience, I would definitely stay here again if I was lucky enough to return to Sorrento.

Isn't it always the case, an attraction can stand for a thousand years and you'll arrive when it's being renovated.
Stonehenge in Co. Meath, Ireland has been there for more than 5000 years but when I got there it was closed for lunch. It was only a flying visit so I didn't get to see it and it took me 16 years to go back again.
The statue of liberty when I saw it was covered in scaffolding.
And Casa Dominova was having a facelift too. (very friendly) workmen were going about their business with hammers, etc every morning while I stayed there. I'm sure the finished job will be beautiful but I just wish it hadn't gone on during my stay.
I stayed there for a wedding but the morning of the wedding the work required the water to be cut off. The owner was very obliging and got the water turned back on for my shower but otherwise it might have been a very unpleasant day for all concerned.
I was also unfortunate enough that my room was right beside the kitchen and in the morning I was constantly woken at 7.30 by cappuccinos being prepared. Very nice if you want to get up at that time but not if you only got to sleep at three in the morning.
The room was a big double with an en suite shower room. There was a lovely television that had about 20 channels, all of them in Italian.
The one time that I did avail of the breakfast it was a very pleasant affair, al fresco under lemon trees. There was a big friendly dog in the hotel who loved attention but wouldn't sit when I told him to. How do you say "SIT" in Italian?
Overall I got what I paid for. It was a cheap, clean room in the centre of Sorrento. The (husband and wife?) owners were pleasant and friendly and I could always just go across the road to watch an english language television with a beer.

Small hotel nice size room, clean. Just wish there was at least one english channel(even news). Maria was a real sweetheart. The breakfast was simple but fresh. Great location.
