“Breathtaking Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at this exceptional hotel. From the beautifully designed colorful interior spaces to the amazing views, the Minervetta exceeded our expectations. The staff was warm, friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast selections and setting were wonderful and the location is perfect - just a short stroll into town. We would highly recommend this very special place to anyone visiting Sorrento.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have two walls of windows making the views even more spectacular.

“A hotel but not a hotel”

Having stayed in hundreds of hotels on business and for pleasure over the past 20 years it is difficult to find somewhere new and special. La Maison Minervetta is just that. The feel is that you are sharing the most wonderful home with the staff who are helpful, knowledgable and available for help and advise at any time. Having said that they are also in the background and not intrusive in the least.

Breakfasts are are served from the kitchen where there is a selection of juices, fruit freshly made coffee and a selection of cooked choices.

From restaurant reservations complete with a free drop off and collection (although perhaps not in the height of summer) to local advise and guidance the staff are always happy and friendly and there to help.

The decoration and furniture are amazing and colourful and the views are simply to die for.

And for lovers of G & T. ....... Well just try one and see!!

Room Tip: All rooms have sea views and picture windows and whilst I am sure they vary in size, i dont think th...

“Magical end of our 3 week trip to Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Despite having stayed at many wonderful places in Italy, La Minervetta could still wow us with charm, hospitality, views and an overall wonderful experience. We arrived late Easter Sunday after a rainy day at Mass in the Vatican and the beautiful remains of Easter brunch were still available for us to snack on. Sunrise out our window and breakfast on the balony were just the relaxing time we needed. The town was fun to explore and an easy ride to a day in Pompei, a ride down the coast. We didn't make it to Capri so we will be back!

Room Tip: I think most have a view but make sure, it's definitely worth it!

Wow what a magical start to our honeymoon.
The hotel, it's location, the rooms, the view, the people, the food, the terrace, the everything.
We spent 9 glorious days here and were very sad when it came time to leave.
We will be returning.
Thanks for a lovely, lovely, time.
Our honeymoon started here, now we move on to Venice.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms.

“Charming boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We stayed here at the end of 2011-beginning of 2012 for five nights. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The view over the bay is stunning and the wall-high windows are the best perk of the hotel, by far. To add to this, the rooms and common areas are very chic, tastefully decorated and certainly not a typical re-hash of standard hotel decor.

The breakfasts were excellent - do not miss on the fact that you can have a warm breakfast - eggs, pancakes etc. Also, we had a wide selection of fruits and pastries and teas.

The hotel is located about 15-20 minutes walk from the main street in Sorrento (Corso). We liked this very much, as it is a very pleasant walk and a good way to build up a bit of an appetite. The walk is uphill, but my wife was six months pregnant at the time and did not find it difficult.

The hotel staff was very nice and quite helpful although you may have to actively ask for help rather than have them volunteer it very much. We found their recommendations to be generally very good.

Besides being beautiful, the rooms were very, very comfortable with nice beds. excellent toiletries, interesting books and free (slowish) wi-fi. Slight inconvenience: the huge windows lead to fast heat loss (we were there in a cold period) and the air-conditioning (which is the only way to heat up the rooms) was quite noisy in our room.

Lat thing - they have free parking, which was great since we were driving a rental and used Minervetta as a base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and other areas.

We would (and will) very warmly recommend this hotel to others.
