perfect location. air con was brilliant. service was great. room was good in size. just be careful if you arent good with stairs as the apartments are up a few flights of steps. Breakfast was basic.

The Palazzo Starace B&B was a great place for us to stay in Sorrento for our honeymoon. The location is probably the best part being right off the main piazza and just a few blocks from both the train station, beach and the ferry. We had a balcony which overlooked the main street which is converted into a pedestrians only area in the evenings. Despite being loud and full of energy when we had the balcony doors open, as soon as they are shut it blocks out all of the noise. The AC also worked well despite being very hot outside. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this B&B for 4 nights in early June 2011. We used it as a base for day trips to Pompeii/Vesuvius, Capri and the Amalfi Coast. It is centrally located to all of the sites and transportation. Less than 10 minutes walk to the train, bus or ferry and only a couple of minutes to Piazza Tasso. The balcony overlooked the main street in Sorrento, great for people watching and relaxing after a day of sight seeing. The breakfast is a coupon to use at a near by restaurant called Bar Syrenuse, which was coffee and a roll, but if you want more food or something different, just ask. We stayed in the "Apartment" room which had a sleeping area for the kids separate from the main room. Note that there is not an elevator and it is 3 flights of stairs to the B&B, but there is a luggage lift. It was not an issue for us, but may be if you cannot do stairs. There is no internet at the B&B, but there is a pub next door with free internet. Overall, I thought the value I received for the price I paid was very good compared to hotels in the area. I would definitely go back to Palazzo Starace B&B.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The hotel is situated in a small alley near the main piazza. Location is ok. The building is in bad condition.The owners live on the same building and leave their junk near the hallways. The bathroom smelled and there was
a sign on top of the toilet informing you'd have to pay the plummer in case of clogging!
Our friends next door were not able to sleep the first night because of street noise.
To top it all the last day,we were unable to use our "breakfast coupons" because the
local cafe where you have breakfast is closed every Tuesday. The owner didn't bother to tell us. Nothing we could do as we had to run and catch an early train for Pompei.
