My husband and I travelled here with our two boys, 11/13 in April to celebrate my sons birthday, the hotel exceeded our expectations and the service we received was second to none.
The food was exceptional and we never went hungry, exactly the opposite, drinks however were incredibly expensive we found in the town which is minutes away as little corner shop that for a fraction of the price sold drinks and delivered to the hotel, bit cheeky but with kids in toe you need to be careful.

This is a romantic hideaway and not best suited for kids, but they have a ping pong table and we amuzed ourselves chatting and playing chess of an evening the setting is absolutely beautiful.

The rooms were spacious we have two large double beds ( kids had to share ) ok for us as both boys but we lacked the bit of privacy we would have liked.

On the eve of my sons birthday they delivered the most amazing cake and sang to him which was wonderful the staff in the dining area and bar area make this hotel.

I truly loved Sorrento and would go back tomorrow, crime free, safe and clean an truly amazing place, great to do a trip into Pompey which we all loved and to see the mountain that caused so much devastation.

Thank you Italy for a wonderful trip, I look forward to return, Grand Hotel De La Ville, a little bit of music in the evening wouldn't go a miss otherwise your perfect.

We love this hotel! The service is top class. We stayed here on the recommendation of family who stayed here before and we were not disappointed. The quality of food and drink is exceptional, with a great choice each evening. Views of Vesuvius from the rooftop pool or from some rooms are phenomenal, but beware that the water in the pool will be very cold if you travel in April! Our room was cleaned regularly, beautiful furniture and tiling, with a big bathroom and view of the bay from the balcony. As honeymooners we were also treated to a bottle of Prosecco on our arrival. It is just a short walk to the centre of town, but make sure you walk through the lemon groves opposite!

this hotel has to be hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed in!! It is located perfectly in sorrento, the views of the bay and vesuvio are some of the most fabulous you could see, day and night!! We cannot speak highly enough of the hotels staff, they are an asset to this hotel. Nothing is to much for them. Possibly the best and most friendliest people you could possibly meet. We would like to thank the fabulous bar staff, gino and flora. The most wonderful dining room staff, enzo, carmine, salvatore, bruno and so many more for making our honeymoon to italy so fantastic!! Gorgeous Hotel. It is only a 5 minute walk into the main part of Sorrento, with all the restaurants and shops. The bus station is only a few minute walk from the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke english very well. The room was pretty and bathroom was very large. The view from the pool was extraordinary.
