We booked this hotel as it was reasonable, had good views and was close to town. To be honest we were underwhelmed. It was hard enough to find, small sign, quite a bit out of town, not walkable and the bus service is unpredictable. Good views indeed, but you are right beside the road so in some of the rooms, like ours, there is quite some road noise but thats hard to avoid around Sorrento/Amalfi Coast. Breakfast was very ordinary, worst we had on our stay, with big 'friendly' notices in the breakfast room warning you not to take any food from the breakfast room (made it feel more like a hostel than a hotel). Not overly attentive or friendly staff and the hot water to the rooms was even switched off when we were there, so on our last day we had to wait an extra 30 minutes to shower. Overall I would check the price of places in town, if you have a car you will probably end up taking that down to Sorrento rather then waiting for the bus and then you end up paying the 15/20Eure per day parking in Sorrento Anyway. The view alone isnt worth it. And finally pool is non heated so later in the season its out.

The hotel was good for the price. If you are looking for a economical trip then this may be a perfect place. The hotel staff is very friendly and accomodating. They can call you a courtesy for a lot of different restaurant which is great for late dinners. The hotel lobby has one of the most spectacular views

But to truly enjoy the beauty of the amafi coast I prefer a hotel a little more cleaner... Perhaps I am spoiled by the american hotels so i expect bigger... but the bathroom was very untidy and the decor of the room was not comforting... we used it as a place to rest at night ... it is so beautiful everywhere around you that it did not matter....Also if you like to take a dip in the pool you will be highly disappointed its unkept and small

You definetely need a bus/car/vespa to go back and forth from the hotel... There is not a lot of parking space for car parking at the hotel the bus runs frequently to amalfi and sorrento but there are strikes very often in this part of italy. We rented a vespa for 3 days and we drove up and down from ravello to sorrento... my favorite memory it was beautiful beyond imagination

The hotel location it is in the middle of Amalfi town and Sorrento Town.... so if you are staying in sorrento you'd have to pass through here to get to Amalfi...Sorrento is a beautiful town with lots of shopping and nice restaurants. But the true beauty is in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello...If I was to visit again I would stay in Positano for sure!!

this hotel was ok. it is quite far from town. you do have to take a bus to get there. for those from toronto, its similar to the GO bus. the room was pretty spacious. it did have a kitchenette and stuff, but our stove wasnt working (we asked the hotel clerk, he said he would check it out and then we heard nothing from him). the fridge worked so so. it froze my tomatoes randomly. had to throw them out!

the bathroom was large. but all tile and not the prettiest thing you have ever seen. we were there in october and the room was FREEZING. there was no heat. the first night we were huddled under the blakets. we asked for two duvets and then it was fine, but the room was still cold. im not sure if they have heat? we would have used the pool, but again, the weather outside was chilly, prolly because you are up in the mountain and the wind. the other thing is, although i didnt go to it, the pool looked a little dirty, with all these leaves in it. they should either close it down or maintain it better... but it looked unapealing. breakfast was average, but all you can eat so it worked... pretty good selection of breads,meats,creal and yogurt.
there is no elevator, so hauling your bags up and down the many stairs is a bit of a pain in the butt...
the hotel sells bus tickets, either single trip or 24 hour. we found out our last day though that there is a three day pass, which the hotel didnt tell us about

oh, and there is a footpath down to town if you want to walk a half hour,and the first time it is a little confusing. DO NOT try to walk the road unless you have a death wish.
overall, it was ok

we stayed october 11 teenage daughter (18) plus 2 adults. the trip was made by Antonio the owner. he simply could not do more for us from waiting for us with keys when really late to help with buses and advice for restaurants.The rooms were clean tidy and well equiped.The only downside is the need to rely on the bus service - which can result in a lot of extra expense.
